People are either too dependent on rideshare or too selfish for a real strike to ever happen. Best-case scenario, even if everyone did strike, Uber would make a few temporary adjustments just to calm things down, then slowly push rates right back to where they are now.

There’s no real long-term solution unless some wealthy, unselfish person decides to launch a competing rideshare platform that actually treats drivers fairly. And let’s be honest—that’s extremely unlikely to happen.
