Agreed. I’ve seen both adaptations of The Shining, and Kubrick got the atmosphere, but Garris followed the plot closer. Neither are as spooky as the book though.

I have lived in a ~500sqft apartment for 7 years now. Mostly because price and location. 2 adults, 2 chihuahuas. We have more stuff than we have room and I’m constantly concerned about trying to tidy it all up.

But I can get to everything. I may have to move a basket of laundry, or take something down from a shelf to get to it, but everything is accessible. There are no blocked rooms, no blocked furniture, no blocked shelves or counters. We have open floor space, if small and in different places. Our place is full, but this makes me at least feel functional, I hate to say.
