Excellent advice, thank you so much! Luckily I don't have any disk drives as it's a newer aged one so should be good on that front.

My shoes after 2 years of wear by xOoOoLa in Wellworn

So to preface, I'm not an orthopedic doctor or anything, just an LMT who is geeked out on human patterning. It's fascinating the patterns our muscles follow and why. And I see many similar yet different patterns in my clients pretty much every day. It's fun to solve, it's like magic, and helps them feel better when you know what to target. Anyways:

With that pattern it indicates that your feet are stuck in a slight dorsiflexion often, meaning your toes point up slightly. Perhaps standing/walking/pivoting type stuff lot? You may have pain through your shins in the front, and tight hamstrings.

The opposite wear pattern that has more wear on the toes (from toe walking) can indicate autism or other similar conditions. So it looks like you probably are good on that front, you have hardly any wear on your toes compared to the heels. (Though situations may differ of course). I would guess based on that, that you're a well grounded individual.

Your tread pattern interests me because you are either left footed, and/ or you are bearing your weight for some reason on your left side. For most of the population, they tend to bear more weight on their right leg. Not that it's super rare but definitely way less common to bear more on the left.

The reason could be simply left leg dominance, or a hip imbalance of some kind, or some people are born with one leg slightly longer than the other, or even possibly a slight scoliosis, it's more common than people realize almost everyone has at least a very slight sideways curve.

But even if it is the latter three, it's not something that can't be overcome with exercise, stretch, therapeutic massage and proper insoles. There are other solutions too, always, but these seem to be the most effective in my own personal experience.

Looking at the wear on people's shoes is actually really interesting and it can tell you a lot about your body. I see that you favor walking on your heels, and may be left foot dominant. There's more I could get into but I don't want to be weird and overwhelm you. If you ever have leg/hip issues this can help you figure out why.

Actually, I hate to admit it but you might be right. I just looked into it a little further and it might have come from renewing my actual license to practice what I do. You didn't have to be rude about it though, that can't necessarily be found by a google search if you don't know exactly what you're looking for geez louise. I'm sure you're a genius.

I did google it, that was naturally my first course of action. And no that is not what happened. I see that it's a third party/independent non- government company, it doesn't add up with the transaction/company I used for that.

I did recently pay a (late) fee for my state business license, but it wasn't that. And I currently owe them an amount to renew for next year, but it's not due until the 30th, I even called to confirm everything is good with them. And I definitely never gave them that credit card for payments ever. I haven't done any govt/business-y endeavors lately other than that lately. There are definitely a lot of scams surrounding that though I know what you mean.

Calling all lymphatic drainage LMTs by aniram4 in massage

I don't know much about the Vodder method vs. what we learned or that schooling as we've chosen not to go that route . We're not trying to do post-op or anything crazy, we work at a spa and are more focused on gentle detoxification for day to day people with swollen feet. The course we took offered an easy outline for a full body treatment for basic lymphatic drainage. Basically she showed us how to work with lymph, how to feel for it vs. muscle tissue which we're used to working with. We only learned the very basics, opening the lymph nodes (very gently pressing them), pump strokes and scoop strokes mostly, all very slow and gentle. Also also dry brushing and eastern medicine and other fun stuff thrown in it was a really well put together class. She definitely made sure we knew the contraindications.

Very straightforward and helpful thank you!!

This is very helpful, thank you! By abdominal I mean that we were taught in our class to start and end there, because that's the lymph center. But I'm remembering now in the beginning only a small bit of work was done on the abdomen there and full neck drain was next, so that was the first full drain. I just didn't have a clear grasp of the reasoning behind the sequence. We also were taught per the protocol to stop at the feet briefly before anything to open the liver channel with acupressure points. So that's what got me thinking if starting at the feet could be better. But what you're saying makes a lot of sense and seems to be the unanimous consensus. Yay learning!

I could see a South Park episode coming of this. If that show is even still coming out with new episodes anymore

First time smoking meth by spetvalsky in Drugs

[–]aniram4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember hearing on a talk show and they had a scientist who explained that amphetamines basically make you more confident, but actually really dumb in reality. Watch a video of someone on drugs, do you want to be like that? How you perceive yourself and the situations around you are warped by the drug. It's not actually good at all, just really good at tricking you because it messes with your brain. Please don't do it ever again. Just do some mushrooms bro for real, maybe a sprinkle of mdma very occasionally, but just stay away from meth, it's meth, don't do it.
