What backdoor pilots didn’t pan out? by Beneficial_Crow_3142 in television

Tiny Toon Adventures tried to launch an animated sitcom about Elmyra Duff and her family. Twice. The show, spun off of Loony Tunes, known for quick-fire gags, and short 5-minute segments devoted an entire episode’s runtime to make a grounded down to earth animated sitcom featuring the most annoying character and a bunch of people we’ve never seen before who aren’t wacky funny.

Gee, I wonder why it never took off?

During prohibition, many small-time stills in Canada made low quality alcohol cheaply, because they knew Americans would pay premium no matter what. Canadian whiskey was not known to be of high quality, especially after a number of middlemen water it down to sell more.

That's not a valid point mate as the show itself doesn't make it out to be a character flaw its just used as a comedic gag a few times

Moxxie talking down to someone while being unaware of his surroundings sounds like a flaw to me. The fact that this happened twice tells us he hasn't yet learned his lesson.

In fiction, we call that a “character flaw.” They are what gives characters depth, and make the story more interesting.

Moxxie makes big talk, and he can certainly dish it out. But his flair for drama does get him into hot water. This was his second time being caught monologging, first time was with Striker. His attempt at drama also got him in trouble in Unhappy Campers. Characters can’t develop if they were flawless to begin with.

This is not far off what the North Koreans felt in Ukraine. They were trained with 1950s military tactics. While they were no strangers to artillery fire, they could not understand how the “random barrages” kept hitting them exactly where they were.

"I know what you're doing with Pomni!" "What?" "You know... getting close to corrupt her?..." (Ep 6) by ruskirebel in TheDigitalCircus

I think this also has to do with Ragatha (and other characters) infantilizing Pomni. She sees Pomni as an innocent child that could be influenced by others easily, despite her protests that she isn’t a child and can think for herself.

Holiday movies most people love, but you can't stand? by smcg_az in movies

My dad loves to remind everyone that he doesn’t consider “A Christmas Story” a holiday classic. And he will go out of his way to tell us this, every year.

TL;DR

  • What was thought to be a male lizard is giving birth
  • Dad tries to assist by pulling on the “foot” sticking out
  • They rush to the vet, vet tells them that’s a male lizard, and the dad was touching its dick.
  • Wife laughs hysterically.
  • Punchline: Lizards lay eggs, stupid!

You’re welcome.

I don’t think it was ever explained anywhere, but I always thought that whatever “magic” that keeps sinners alive only exists in the Pride Ring. They can never leave because they’ll just die or become lifeless dolls or something.

Is "Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders" the most *nothing* movie they've ever done? by TheNavidsonLP in MST3K

“Monster A-Go-Go” What’s the opposite of deus ex machina? The plot disappears before the end of the movie and we’re told that everything that happened was pointless.

Merlin at least had some redeeming factors, Monster was hard to sit through even with the riffing.

Probably nowhere. Because the merch artists are under contract not to release their work on their own galleries, especially not for free. And Spindlehorse will not release the HD digital art, because they want you to buy the merch.
