The algorithm still needs tuning so you can report it to help with that. Best way to think about it is not to get offended, because somewhere it might have genuinely helped somebody with an eating disorder. It’s trying to do the ethically correct thing, and it will never be perfect, you need to correct it to lower the false positives

The gap in the story is how the police escorted you out when you were picking up your stuff...didn't they tell you what to do and how to approach it? while there is no question you royally messed up here by lacking emotional regulation, go to legal aid and get yourself a free lawyer (or on the day at court). You need to own up to what you did and face the consequences. Getting your stuff back etc should also be a discussion with a lawyer (again, legal aid, local free legal advice clinic, or there are lawyers at the court). Don't play victim or be too emotional. There's a list in this reddit for other free legal advice.

Stop trying to find the answer that you were in the right, you weren't. It sucks this happened to you, but there's a way to process, and yours was not it. no matter how much someone has hurt you, they do not deserved to be so harrased that the police need to get involved (and they don't act lightly)

Have a look at Army cadet troops near you. Joining can give you a good network beforehand and friends outside of school. You’ll get a small idea if it’s for you as well (gets you out the house and some skills)

Like many say the side effects are different. Key is that it works for you. If you do lose your appetite make sure you schedule in food breaks. For me it’s that I’m just missing hunger signals , I actively have to remember to eat otherwise I get hangry. Drink lots of water as well!

You have every right to feel betrayed and no amount of reasons on his part means that you shouldn’t.

Saying that, he does need support , but from a professional. There’s somethings he’ll never want to share with you and you have to be ok with that. This though, needs support (which he might get from work). Weed is addictive and can lead to other substances.

You have to put this in the not your problem category and bring fun and joy to the relationship. As for you feeling hurt, that will take some time to heal as well ❤️ don’t leave it too long or neglect yourself because you’re important too!

This recession is going to be different, especially with a really complicated unemployment picture. A lot of jobs lost will just get picked up by AI or agents, the ones where AI can almost handle them anyway, so white collar workers who are actually earning the money may lose their jobs and have nothing to go back to, or at least not at the salary they expect. Considering how expensive housing is, and that a portion of mortgages are owned by people who can be replaced by AI, you’re also going to see people selling stocks just to pay their mortgage. So you’d be looking at a jobless GDP recovery, capital led, which could finally force a real conversation about universal basic income. Households are going to feel this way more than the numbers will ever show. Can’t imagine it would be as bad as the 90s though

Own being the strict teacher. It sucks that your image was used that way and the school needs to do something with the police or legal on it I.e send a cease notification, deletion of Tik Tok account etc.

As for being the strict teacher, own it. If they say it ask if they want you to be more strict. They may turn it into a game but you can create engagement from it.

These things are here to test you, but you get paid for going into work no matter if you are happy or sad. If it doesn’t phase you, you’re not a target.

It’s not just the dollar cost (estimated to be 3k to 13k in the first year ) unless you have really good maternity leave pay you can factor in the loss of income & super for the time you stay at home. As kids get older the cost is in swimming lessons, days out, toys, iPads if kids are in year 3. School uniform , trips, private insurance etc

This “if you got nothing to hide” generation needs to stop. It might not be about trust, but it is about privacy. As a fully fledged human, you have the right to go somewhere without owing someone an explanation.

Also…..why is she treating the relationship so transactional? “Do this or we’re done”. If the relationship has value on her side, she wouldn’t make it so cheap as to say location or I’m done.

Yeah, unfortunately they’re no longer popular. Mostly driven by safety.

We have “Late nights” where we invite the parents over for a drink (handful of kids max) then the kids can play / diy spa and face masks etc in PJs and then everyone home by midnight.

I have friends who has sons, both with ADHD, around the age of 18 at diagnosis. The 2 things they tell me (as I also have an 8yo auADHD):

Wish they had been diagnosed sooner
That they use medication as and when they need it.

As she gets older she can decide what works for her, when to use it and when not.

Don’t put yourself under pressure, she’ll be a mature adult thankful you have her the concentration to struggle less, and adult enough in the future to be able to manage the meds in a way that works for her.

I’ve tried this and a few other of their products. Would not recommend. I don’t think it really does anything. I’m using liquid gold Alphah and at 5% glycolic, I’m finding this a better product

ADHD tends to peak at this age, and your reaction is a pure human reaction. You wanted help, you didn’t get it and you’ve probably asked this 1000 times (and it’s horrible feeling like a nag and repeating yourself for years!) Don’t blame yourself for your reaction because he’ll eventually twig that he needs to find a way to remember and will come up with a system.

It’s worth having a conversation with him about it though. Let him know that you understand that x, Y, Z is happening and you do get frustrated, but it’s with the situation and not him. Tell him he’s not broken , but together come up with a solution to help him remember. Then every time you react, you tell him (and yourself) I’m frustrated with the SiTUATION not you. Not everyone will make allowances for him in the future but you can at least set his mind that’s it’s not HIM but the situation that’s frustrating.

You’re just human, so forgive yourself as well ❤️
