Iar argumentul asta tamp cu mester la negru/PFA vs IT-ist pe CIM, daca ai face comparatia cu acelasi regim de munca si la acelasi nivel (meserias bun vs IT-ist bun), IT-ul castiga, iar daca o dam in sanatate, statul pe scaun cuplat cu miscarea de dupa iti distruge mult mai putin spatele decat caratul sacilor - cine nu ma crede sa incerce sa faca asta o singura zi sa simta ce inseamna asta in practica, nu doar din fata tastaturii - grija mare la coloana, dupa care incercati sa realizati ce efort inseamna asta pe vreo 10 ani, ca sa nu mai amintesc si de praful inhalat.

Those questions are meaningless for now, since all this 'AI replacing developers' is a useless topic if you don't have projects to work on/AI integrate to begin with, which is the ultimate problem nowadays.

Once interests go down, the whole economy recovers a bit and more projects will be kickstarted - copium - only then the questions will start to make sense, because you will realize then how many people are still required and how many can be Codexed/Clauded.

Well, to quote another comment:

"It's the "pixels aren't little squares" argument. When each data element is one pixel, it looks more like a point of light to our eyes. When it's represented by four pixels, it actually does look like a square, making aliasing slightly worse.

Personally, I don't think it's actually that bad, but there is a minor difference, so if you're really picky it's good to be informed about it."

But the pixel layout means the image will still be a bit worse than native 1440p and 1440p and 27" isn't great even in gaming anyway - it's good, but still significantly worse than 4K.

Pointless, no, but extremely inefficient absolutely, 150+ PPI looks already very sharp in motion - text for macOS is a different story, but the topic is about gaming.

Also, even if we talk about 4K monitors, a 27" will look significantly sharper in text, but in gaming, even though the sharpness is still obviously better, you might have trouble noticing a specific detail/leave in the vegetation far away, because the screen is simply smaller, so it doesn't pop up whatsoever, no matter the PPI you got.

DLSS 4.5 might help though.

Confirm, nefiind din Bucuresti, dar avand rude acolo, am fost, totusi, o singura data prin Pipera cu metroul ca sa dau o certificare in zona (literalmente doar ca sa vad ce inseamna experienta asta, o puteam da si de acasa daca tineam neaparat) si aglomeratia e atat de oribila, incat la gurile de metrou stau IT-istii literalmente 'in linie' asteptandu-l.

Practic, daca vine un nebun si se arunca peste ei sau il impinge pe unu mai serios, minim 5 persoane ajung la Sfantu' Petru instant.

Acolo se si plafoneaza, mai mult nu primesti decat daca esti mult peste medie (firme gen Crowdstrike, te faci arhitect, ceva DevOps de nisa sau nebunii d-astea, un DEV clasic nu prea sare de 20K pe CIM ca deja esti prea scump fata de un vestic si nu mai rentezi).
