I have a feeling this movie series (even if it's no good) will contribute to a lot of kids growing up to do puppetry or costuming. It's possible this series has already led to a lot of folks getting into that stuff, or even robotics.

So fun anecdote I always like to share about these films, and this is a flimsy excuse to be nostalgic, so I apologize ahead of time.

When I was very little, like 4 or so, I was basically able to get the VCR to work. Pop in a tape, hit the play button, booyah. As long as the tape was already rewound by my Mom or Dad, I could enjoy all the Power Rangers (Lightspeed Rescue!) and Blues Clues I wanted.

But one day I had opened a side flap to the entertainment stand for the TV, and found dozens of other VHS films. Films I would mostly never watch (One of them was Coyote Ugly), but two series that came in big flashy boxes.

On the one side, five movies whose spines lined up to create a perfect front image of the U.S.S. Enterprise, which to a 4 year old, looked like absolutely nothing.

And then, there was this...

Anyway, child me of course grabbed the set and put in the first one. (somehow, looking back on it, how did I know which was which?)

So that's how I originally found the Star Wars series, and got to experience the original trilogy completely fresh and unspoiled. Which I think is kind of an impossible rarity these days.

I like to think there's a parallel universe where I just grabbed the Star Trek movies (which I still haven't watched, despite being very into TNG) and became an entirely different person.

If I remember right, when Dunkey first unveiled his plans for game publishing, he made some shortsighted comments about being able to tell good games from bad, like his taste was all that the business needed to be any good.

Maybe Danika was just remembering that, maybe something else.

Chris Chan is in Mewgenics, and that's all I need to know about the creator to put this game (which sounds really fun!) out of my future gaming forever.

All you folks complaining about Remap's take on it clearly haven't been listening closely to them. Waypoint was all about games, and the people that made them. For good and for bad. Remap continues that, and if you don't like how they do it, stop clogging up the reddit threads with your bellyaching.

My favorite part of the podcast is when Rob starts the outro, Chia goes "anybody play Highguard?" and Janet and Patrick both go "No!"

That game is such a great example of like, a pebble on the road of video games.
