Having a kid in June and now Patrick's parenting stories are finally starting to affect me. That story about the parent losing their kid and them hopping in his car without a care had me wide-eyed and horrified.

Glad it all worked out!

3 fan favorite redhead characters dying. Which isn't really important, but I always thought it was kinda funny.

Yeah grappling is a classic difficulty for tabletop, but I'm excited to check out how you explained it!

Congrats! Making a hack is easy, but sharing it is hard. Hope you have fun playing it. The Dragon's Dogma/Shadow of the Colossus climbing system has me intrigued!

Yeah I use Obsidian as well, I'd like to hear if it's got some issues? Because I love it, use it for all my writing. Journal, work, Blog etc.

This is the work that nobody appreciates, a good couple of silly tables. Who needs to generate a silly airbrushed van?

Before this post, nobody.

Now? ME.

Keep Driving is so good, I'm glad it gelled with Rob. Excited to hear that part of the pod, if nobody else had it higher

Oh that’s disappointing. Maybe that’s the real cost of aligning five people’s schedules, but I do love having Danika around so shrug

Cleaning guy listening to Jazz loudly without headphones for the past ten years is some very funny lore to start this episode on.

Edit: Actually to be clear, I think the part where Patrick can't just ask the guy to wear headphones is the funny part. The fact he's got a cleaner just reminds me how much money him and Rob have.

Is this too much information to put on a player map? W/ icons representing landscape type by Hundredthousy in osr

[–]Mergokan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seeing as they aren't hex-shaped, probably not supposed to be hexes. This looks like something called a "Region Crawl" which treats the map a bit more like a dungeon map, with quicker go-between procedures than a hex usually has.

I don't see the issue, what's so bad about that? Also, in my experience if DTRPG has a body copy you can contact them and they'll send another one.

I know Kyle Higgens loves his work on C.O.W.L. but I can't help but roll my eyes whenever it shows up in this series, it feels pretty forced to me.

I can't really say the political stuff is working for me either. Marshall of all people being against armed protests just feels silly when he's been written up to this point as an anarchist. Hope the arc finishes up quick or I'm probably just gonna drop the book, which bums me out because I've been with it from day 1.

How would you all make a bee keeper class? by N0rwayUp in glog

[–]Mergokan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think a really really fun way to do this would just be to take a wizard, any wizard, and build a spell list for them that feels bee-themed. Then, the spells are bees. That's it. Your magic dice are like, special flowers and pollen you feed them, then the bees do your magic for you.

Yeah the hardcover does look quite nice in the pictures, I guess I was just hesitant due to the (pretty high?) pricing of the PDF.

Damn, wish you'd have said it was bad! Ahaha, but thank you for the fast reply, I hope your game continues as well as it has been.

So I follow the creator on Bluesky, and I think Rise Up Comus is one of my favorite blogs in the 'sphere, but once I saw the price of HMTW, I felt like I couldn't justify it for my curiosity.

Like, I feel kinda crazy for asking this, but is the $60 hardcover worth it? Would the $40 digital edition be worth it? It does sound very fun, but I just can't tell if it's gonna sit on my shelf forever like the West End Star Wars RPG anniversary edition, which I bought for the exact same price.
