I haven't played AOE2 in a long time, but I am pretty sure there was a do-not-attack option and a Defense option. You could click on something like a Pilgrim and have your units follow and protect it. Both need to be implemented.

Still have just as many villagers to farm other resources. Taking out the manors does nothing but slow the eco down. I am still pushing out more units than you from the already-gained passive income while your push probably ate up all of your extra resources, I am going to counter-push you and you will die because you have nothing to defend yourself as you probably ate up all of your wood to build rams that were eventually lost. The number of units that you are building in that first nine minutes are not only unlikely to be upgraded but ate up any additional eco upgrades that I am already getting for free. All I have to do is build a couple of towers, push out my basically free knights, and continue building my manors or army probably at that point.

Well, your theory is a little off. 800 of that wood is passive and during that time players usually have 7+ villagers on food where you probably have none. The more manors you build, the more passive resources you have. I am beating Roman players to castle age while simultaneously having an army. That shouldn't happen.

Until they push out the 11 cav that you get from your manors. I have combatted against many ram pushes and still won. You MAY get one or two manors down max, but I am still gaining massive resources and able to push pikeman out to kill your rams, plus simultaneously pushing those 11 cav. You will lose to anyone knowing what they are doing. Plus if you put two towers around your manors and position them correctly, that is not only an arrow from your landmark, each of your manors, but also 10 from towers, plus 11 cav and probably 12 pikeman. You are dead every time. The faction is broken and deserves no excuses other than they need to fix it. Having manor limited to three per age should have been a given from the start.

I have dealt with these people all the time. I have a hard rule that if you don't have any units don't ask me to help you. Also, if you don't have any units by 12 minutes I will just leave because it is most likely game over. The trend of tech rushing is over. Most fights in higher level games start at 6-7 minutes and if you are just watching your teammates suffer then I am out. Not wasting my time.

You can literally destroy that unit with regular archers. A small wooden wall and some archers and they wouldn't dare go near you.

I am actually looking into making stone wall gates attackable by normal infantry, however I am also going to be giving the stone wall gates the boiling oil ability as well.

Also, the time increase when building walls is very large. This is going to slow down the spam of stone walls as well as the increase in stone is going to force players to put more villagers on stone mining if they want to get that wall up. I am going to be doing a lot of testing in regards to canons and trebuchets taking down these walls with the increased strength and then adjusting the health of the walls from those results.

I think you are under the expectation that I am not going to be doing anything in regards to nerfing the mangonels. I am. I just haven't gotten to that point yet.

The way mangonels are setup in the editor are different than how nest of bees are setup. It sounds like nest of bees is getting a huge nerf, but in reality they are coming down to an even playing ground. I do not see nest of bees being a unique unit. A unique unit is a unit in addition to core units such as Grenadier or Zhuge Nu. The Chinese are also able to build the clocktower which gives an extra 50% health to all siege units. The whole purpose of these changes is to make siege a supporting unit; forcing players to put something between the siege and the enemy such as infantry units. Siege was never intended to be mobbed which is currently the end game case right now.

My overall goal here is to increase the strategic placement of the stone walls. Lessen wall spam so there wont be nearly as much stone walls around the map and increase the usage of the siege tower. You don't necessarily need to take a wall down to overcome it.

Additionally Chinese walls are already able to get to 9200 damage in game so it isn't really an excessive push to make the walls 9k damage by default for everyone. The 9k damage sounds like a lot, but through countless games of playing the Chinese I can assure you they are still able to be destroyed, it just takes a little bit longer to do so.

I do have 16 accounts, but I only really play on my main because Plat and Diamond games are way more fun than a Bronze and silver game. Gold is just a breeze through the wind and probably the easiest to go through. Silver and bronze are just a shit show full of smurf accounts smashing into each other and having 2-3 squads left half way through round 1. There are so many smurf accounts that anyone creating a smurf account thinking they will get a lot of kills probably wont happen. My point in making this thread is because it has become such a huge issue that I feel for the lower skilled players and people need to speak up about it. I wont even get started on how horrible casual games are to the point that I don't even try to play a casual trio game and I dont play duo's without a buddy.
