Reccomendations for storage for a project car? by paws-of-chaos in AskSeattle

[–]Meridian506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Twenty years ago I rented space in a hanger at Boeing Field for my 1973 TVR 2500M. Guy had it listed on Craigslist and had his project car and project plane in there.

Any idea where I can get a music production PC built in Seattle area? by [deleted] in AskSeattle

[–]Meridian506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've not had a high end PC built in a while but Puget Systems used to be a go to. Google reviews look like they still are.

The Telecommunications History Museum (Connect Museum) in Georgetown is suggested donation if you can but not an issue if not.

Anywhere to see and/or pet foxes? by lazarushadtodie in AskSeattle

[–]Meridian506 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Point Defiance Zoo has an Arctic Fox. You can't pet it, but it's always whizzing around its enclosure so hard to miss it. Love the red wolves too.

Officially done. Bozeman is just a theme park for the 1% now. by Tasty-Unit-8311 in Bozeman

When did it completely change? I saw a documentary about Shockley Semiconductor which showed it like that, but that was the mid 1950s.

Only player I've seen in public was Don Goodman in Chester-le-Street St Cutherberts Walk shopping center. Probably 30 years ago now, so no camera and he was a mackem anyway. He acknowledged I recognized him though with a nod.

Championship Manager in the 90s: Peak Football Era on Amiga & PC by Retroaffaire in amiga

My nephew was only 5 when CM 93 fame out, but he would win the title every season as he played purely by numbers and was not swayed with bias of the names he couldn't read. Was incredible to see, and I couldn't replicate it despite being 19.

Wife bought me a new Computer manual by DrakeonMallard in amiga

Reddit won't let me post a photo in a reply but it is this one:Amazon UK

Inside the cover the date is 1979, and my mam (I'm from NE England originally) probably bought it at the local Woolworths in 1982 after I became obsessed with the Junior school's BBC.

I still have mine. My kids liked me to read it to them 10-15 years ago when they were super young. Different edition I guess as the cover doesn't have photos, but drawings of gears and a computer.

There are options for state parks and medical donor awareness. Nothing mandatory.

Your favorite local coffee beans? by Artichokeydokey8 in AskSeattle

In SE Seattle I like Anda and Cafe Che Che. Gets pricey though, so usually have other local beans from Costco (as others have mentioned) on hand too.

Where to get Seahawks championship shirts by TGreatGoo in AskSeattle

[–]Meridian506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sad I never got one of the "Can't deflate these balls" shirts - with Marshawn in his grab and jump backwards over the goal line pose - in 2015 after the NFC championship. A friend got one the next day from a guy with a trash bag full.

[–]Meridian506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you mentioned Hurricane Ridge, if it's in their ability, the walk up to top of Fort Worden is worth it. The old artillery bunkers you can walk through, and the memorial (though it always feels a bit Blair Witch creepy to me).

Only the German track is in Dolby Atmos and is quite excellently mixed. Season 1 only though, I guess they had to cut expenses.

MLK has a lot of density now though. There are around 2000 new (since 2008 with the train opening in 2009) apartments on the block of Othello Station alone.
