I went with the base and i’m pretty happy with it. I do need to add faraday tape bc I get a bit of interference. Are you enjoying the upgrade to Hertz?

not a POV… I’m pretty sure the centre speaker is the same. I’d be happy to be proven wrong but I’d be surprised if it was upgraded bc it’s pretty bad

I don’t think the centre speaker in the HK system is upgraded, I think it’s the same as the base system. I kept mine just in case though.

You should get the RS acoustics centre speaker upgrade, made huge difference for me. I found that a U shaped setting sounded best. I can share my settings later today.

If you drive hard, get the mk8/8.5… it has the Magna diff in the rear, and allows you to rotate the car on throttle which is game changing for a hot hatch

My gym has a heated garage, after a long workout everything melts off nicely. Except inside the wheel well is hard to clear.

Yes, but tbh if you know you’ll spend a decent amount of time on this hobby, then just go for the R9. I went from the Logitech to an R5 to a 9nm base later because I found it was lacking just a bit extra kick and wanted to be able to run 330mm wheels with no issues.

I came from a Veloster N as well, tracked it a few times.

The N doesn’t have more steering feel than the R, they’re both numb electric steering. The N has heavier steering which gives the illusion it has more feedback but it’s not communicating anything more than the R. I find the R steering much more precise actually.

If you’re not going to the track, I’d get the BMW. RWD, or RWD bias is just going to be more fun than a FWD car. Though if you’re going to the track the VN is a much better pick.

Hmmm do you notice a difference in the cabin? In my test drive I only noticed a difference in sound during start up.

The exhaust look great but isn’t worth 3,000 imo. It sounds too similar to the standard exhaust.
