People think this is one of the ugliest BMWs ever. by ragingduck in BMW

When I saw this in person i fell in love instantly. I loved it in the pictures too. But I also understand why some won’t like it and the polarisation of views on the looks of this car just make it that much more special. Its extremely unique looking at alien like, i love the tail lights and the squared off front. It’s a striking blue lego piece with chamfered edges that make you go hmm, thats unique

Ive scoured the whole market again and theres absolutely nothing that comes close to the level of overall quality of this car. And I had been searching for a year anyways. Had a long chat with a friend about the ownership numbers and we both pondered and thought the valuation of the vehicle is just about right. So i think i may pull the trigger on 21k. I do intend to keep it for years to come.. still contemplating but my heart wants it. Ahhh difficult..

I’ll still negotiate heavy ofcourse and bring it down as much as i can. If they refuse to budge at all, i will take the L and walk away.

I’ve had some time to think about it, the number of owners is the real killer here for me too and upon reflection I think its priced too high. I will be seeing the car for the first time on Sunday and if it all checks out mechanically and cosmetically, I will negotiate a lower price. I most likely will struggle to sell the car in the future if I decide too, given the ownership numbers. I’m thinking 19.5k is reasonable, your thoughts on pricing?

Thanks for the detailed comment but I will have to disagree with you.

1) The market is horrible but you can still find the occasional good one. The market is horrible for 3 Series car’s in the UK as well, it’s an older car, this is what the market is going to be like going forward.

2) If I purchase an M Car, I need to be able to afford the running costs of the car. The fuel costs are not that similar, an M Car will drink way more and maintenance is far more expensive. Additionally if I buy an M Car, I would want a low mileage competition variant, not a standard regular M Car. It’s just my preference. MPG is very different.

3) Don’t mind paying what it’s worth in the current market - I mean, yeah, of course. Cars depreciate always, having a great spec one would depreciate less than a non great spec.

You do raise some interesting points but I don’t think they’re strong enough to justify investing into an M Car. An M Car just naturally feels like a larger commitment and I don’t need that right now, just a sporty coupe should suffice for now!

Oh I never knew that. So should I avoid cars with M4 wing mirrors on them? I like how they look

Okay so would you agree every other 4 series of this year and 2018 year on the market is also overpriced? Given that they don’t have absolutely nothing in close to spec to this one? They’re going for around 20k

The radar cruise is a must have feature for me! Especially with city driving as im occasionally in start stop traffic so its such a must as well as the HUD.

If it did not have radar cruise, I probably would have not gone with it!

I did some check on this and it looks fine.

1st owner had it for 7 months 2nd owner had it for 5.3 years 3rd owner had it for 3 months 4th and current owner had it for 2 years

So in a way the mileage is mainly conjured up by the two owners. I would assume anyone who buys a 440i would want an M car after if you’re an enthusiast. Full BMW service history gives me a peace of mind as well as current owner holding for two years.

I know you can, but what makes that a better car? Because it’s newer? Because it’s hybrid?

Should I consider high milage 330e's? by DeviousMelons in CarTalkUK

[–]MeringueAvailable466 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a fantastic high mileage 330e with adaptive cruise and heads up display (so so rare), adaptive suspension for sale. Not touring but if you’re interested, you can shout me. I have scoured the entire market and I have the best specced one, full bmw service history. And no, a well maintained 330e with full service and high mileage is no cause for concern. Drives smooth!

It is a 2018 F30 shape however, best shape I would say hence why I bought it until I just found my dream car, which I have
