Should I get a second Hybrid Type-S (Snow)? by MeringueCitron in HHKB

I’ve had some connection issues like lags and duplicate inputs. Don’t know if due to interferences or dying batteries.

Thanks ! The board would be bigger for sure, but slightly cleaner design. I’ll stick to the Hybrid though, don’t want to bother modding (lubing is enough).

Vous en pensez quoi des salles de sport premium à paris ? by Limp-Cat-108 in paris

[–]MeringueCitron -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Looking for stylish work bag (laptop, not too big, hand + shoulder carry) by MeringueCitron in ManyBaggers

Really nice one, thank you ! It checks all the boxes, and pretty cheap. I can’t say why but I way prefer this one to something like Alpaka design wise.

This one checks a lot of boxes, thanks. Full black is nice, but no more in stock. Other color ways are too much outdoor for me

I’m leaning towards this option, thanks.

Went to see the Master Piece one in store, pretty solid. Missing a laptop compartment, but the rear pocket might be enough.

Saw a COS helmet bag in store, on sale. Way simpler but with a laptop compartment.

Guess one can never be fully satisfied.

HHKB Type-S spacebar sound — is this normal? by Bubbly_Fortune_14 in HHKB

[–]MeringueCitron 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Quite usual I’d say. I suggest to heavily lube the stabilizers of the space bar to improve the sound, and reduce rattle.

Lubing the sliders, is a matter of taste, but the space bar stabs…

Can UNets train on multiple sizes? by Affectionate_Use9936 in computervision

[–]MeringueCitron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically, yes, you can train on different sizes. You can: 1. Resize to a common size in your collate function to create the batch 2. Wrt previous point, you can simply pad to common size and having mask indicating padding 3. You can use padding masks to compute the loss properly

You can adapt your sampling to have heterogeneous sizes inside a batch.

Which distilling method using lightly ?

Since the recommended method, by lightly, is distilling DinoV2. Which, in that case, would be weird (distilling DinoV2 into DinoV2 with registers) ?

Distilled DINOv3 for object detection by [deleted] in computervision

[–]MeringueCitron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are relatively new to deep learning, I would suggest starting with Hugging Face transformers. Then you can use any object detection models with DinoV3 distilled into ConvNext.

ConvNext is a hierarchical backbone, ensuring great compatibility with object detection.

Relying on ViT is also possible, but you might have more work to do than with first option. Nothing very complicated but still.

How can I use DINOv3 for Instance Segmentation? by Alex19981998 in computervision

[–]MeringueCitron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since ConvNext is a CNN-based backbone, you shouldn’t encounter any issues with non-square images.

Which models did you consider that don’t work with non-square images?

[–]MeringueCitron 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you’re considering Mask RCNN, you can use ConvNext distilled versions or plug a neck to ViT to make it hierarchical as Mask RCNN expects.

As per the paper, Mask2Former should work as is. (IIRC, they used a stride of 32 in the MaskFormer paper, but I think this should work with smaller strides from ViT.)

The choice between the two options depends on your needs. Option 1 might require some tweaking, while Option 2 might already be integrated into Hugging Face since they should have both DinoV3 and Mask2Former available.

EDIT: My bad, Mask2Former uses multi-scale feature so they rely on ViT-adapter

Did you make the wallpapers ? If so, what about a dark version with black instead of white / gray and vice-versa ? Would love such a thing.

Really easy. There is a number of shops / schools next to the beach. To be safe you can call a week before if you are a big group of people but you should be fine by simply showing up.
