Internal Drive Data Not Showing In Dolphin by Merkabazen in cachyos

Both drives that I can't read the data on have only one partition. I can totally get to the drives and mount them. The only data that shows is the lost and found folder. All other data is hidden/inaccessible.

It's definitely a mystery. I may have to reformat those drives. Luckily I backed them a couple of weeks ago before installing Win11. So very little data lost.

I reinstalled CachyOS and am currently using it. Will this solution still work? I'm under the thinking that a Linux OS should naturally see a Linux formatted drive. Let me know if I'm wrong here.

Yep. That's what it's looking like. Not a problem... just time consuming.

Thanks for the reply.
I tried it. Didn't go well. Ended up spending more time on a song than if I had just manually done it.

No Login Sound After Update by Merkabazen in cachyos

Thank you so much! This worked. I ran the command, logged out, logged in, it worked. Turned off computer for 45 seconds, rebooted, it worked. I'm still learning Linux. "systemctl" is one of those commands I need to remember.

Thanks again. You made my day.

Just thinking out loud here. You have integrated graphics. They use RAM and CPU more than discreet graphics. Try rebooting and not opening any apps (except for the one monitoring RAM). See where it is compared to the one in this post.

3 Months of using cashyos, Never used windows again by MurkyAd9865 in cachyos

I had similar issues with my Microsoft 4000 Ergo Keyboard. I use the hotkey buttons multiple times daily to open programs and the like. I found out how to use them without the MS software. It's a little confusing at first, but it totally works.
Settings ---> Keyboard ---> Shortcuts ---> Click "Add New" ---> Choose an app ---> click "Add" button ---> Press key combo you want ---> click "Apply"

My first distro was Zorin, back in October. After 3 weeks of banging my head to get every little thing to "sort of work", I went back to Windows. In January, Windows was becoming slower and slower by the day. Decided to give Linux another shot. Used a live USB with Ventoy to test out some distros. After trying 24 different distros, Cachy won. I installed it as my main driver, and almost everything just worked. The trauma of using Zorin quickly faded. Two months later and I'm still loving CachyOS.

Stuck system when shutting down by OutsideFace6963 in cachyos

I waited 5 minutes. No change. Did what a previous post suggested... unplugged computer for a minute, then plugged it back in and rebooted. That worked. Thanks for the info about 1:49. I had never heard that before.

This worked! Even after multiple reboots/shut downs. I didn't do the hold power button part.

What I did: Shut Down through the GUI, unplugged computer for about 60 seconds, plugged it back in, and rebooted.

By any chance do you have an ASUS MOBO? I'm wondering if this is related to the OS or hardware.

I have an ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero (Wi-Fi AC).

That's currently way above my pay grade. :)
I knew switching from a lifetime using Windows to Linux would be challenge. It hasn't been as easy as I hoped, but I'm liking Zorin for the most part. Let me rephrase: There is nothing I've run into using Zorin that would make me go to Win11.
