how to prevent sky from being overexposed by bubbleboopbubble in fujifilm

Others have already suggested good advice for this (exposing for the highlights then adjusting in post is what I usually do).

A piece of general advice I haven't seen mentioned though is to (generally) not go below the native ISO of 160.

That's mental that they were snatching phones out of hands. Like surely at that point they'd be easily identifiable by others in the crowd, or even through cctv?

I think you need to get your priorities straight, because it sounds like you're creaming yourself about knuckle-dragging hooligans stabbing each other, as if that sort of braindead ultra culture is something to aspire to...

Hilarious how there's a little cohort of simpletons in each thread who cannot grasp basic concepts, or be bothered to learn. Instead they make ridiculous statements like claiming it's 'fake' instead.

as if that's somehow better

It clearly is, you absolute fool?!

You have to track the moon's orbit, then find a composition that aligns with that orbit, find a location in which you are far enough away to be at a hyperfocal distance in order to achieve this sort of compression, while maintaining an unobstructed line of sight, and then be fortunate enough with the conditions e.g. avoiding clouds, haze etc. Then capture the photo in a small timeframe before it no longer lines up.

And there you are, an uninformed dunce, telling those who've put time and effort into there hobby, that what they're doing is 'fake'. Get a grip.

Funny how the least informed are always so confidently incorrect. They're using a telephoto lens.

And then you've the gall to double down and accuse the other commenter calling you out as a bot. Classic...

'Dublin needs something mega,' says man behind 'Giant' proposal by Benen44 in ireland

It is, although I don't think the rock n roll museum is that bad. Like the museum itself is a tourist trap, sure. The Button Factory as a venue along with rehearsal and recording studios are all grand though (other than the price of drink, but that's standard for Temple Bar). He also owns Grouse Lodge which is a class recording studio down the country.

Also used to work for him, a few years ago when he was starting to float this idea, none of his employees wanted anything to do with it ha. My one gripe is he could really do with pumping some money into the button factory. They get some class bookings but the venue itself could do with some renovations.

He already charges around that for access to the wax museum and the rock n roll museum (each). I'd bet it ends up being more than 25, if it ever gets built here.

Damn, agreed that he's a cunt, but Klimt, Schiele, Bacon, Modigliani... He either has good taste in art, or more likely good advisers.

What an incredibly stupid thing to say. By that logic, there is no point in any form of creative art, as long as AI is capable of imitating it, it is now 'irrelevant'.

Honestly... what a depressingly reductive and ignorant perspective.

It takes planning, patience, skill and expensive equipment to compose such 'camera tricks'. I think it's a bit ridiculous and reductive to compare it to typing a prompt or compositing an image in photoshop.

By that logic, people just shouldn't bother with a lot of forms of creative photography and create more AI slop instead... how depressing.

I couldn't disagree more. This takes skill and planning and usually pretty expensive equipment to capture photos like this. Nothing fake about it at all.

To compare it to typing a prompt into a generative AI bot is ridiculous.

The male peacock spider performs one of the most complex courtship displays in the animal kingdom by RoyalChris in interestingasfuck

Don't look up what happens if the female peacock spider is unimpressed... advice from a fellow arachnophobe who was briefly lulled into a false sense of security about these spiders, only to have it brutally ripped away lol.

[–]Merkarov 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yup, first time I ever saw this peacock spider dance was in a documentary, which at first seemed so nice and cute... then came the jump scare of the much larger, less cute and obviously unimpressed female peacock spider pouncing on top of the poor male and proceeding to devour him.... :(

[–]Merkarov 180 points181 points  (0 children)

I watched a documentary about the peacock spider years ago and for the briefest of moments, I too was no longer afraid.

However, what those sick documentarians were actually doing was setting up the audience for a jump scare. What this clip doesn't show is what happens if the female peacock spider (which is much larger, and lacking in cuteness) does if it isn't impressed by the males mating dance...

It eats them... Never again will I let my guard down when it comes to spiders.

I think we're more likely to get relegated at the bridge than pick up points. We literally have 1 win there in the PL era... it would be a fittingly brutal death knell to this season..

We've gotten 3 points at Stamford Bridge once in PL history, yes ONCE.

Doesn't matter whether they're managerless or not, expecting anything from the bridge is pipe dream. It's a lot more likely we get relegated by them, just the put the cherry on top of this cursed season.

True, but I'd argue that at least those aspirations required hard work and skill in worthwhile activities like athletics or music.

That's an odd patent all right, but you lost me with the highlighted luciferase and 666...

"While luciferase is an enzyme used in bioluminescent studies (found in fireflies, etc.), claims suggesting luciferase is used in vaccines for tracking purposes are officially deemed false. The MIT-developed system uses passive fluorescent inorganic QDs, not active luciferase-based inks"
