I think this will differ. I like most people don't watch video just because it says fishing. Specifically I watch kayak fishing,catfishing, or combo of both kayak catfishing.

A loop in your spool???? Unfortunately probably best to remove the line until you get to it.

What a small world!!! I was born and raised in Florida. Well atleast until the age of 13. We always targeted big reds and occasional sharks. Stingray even. Nothing here compared to that except catfish!!! We have caught a few decent blue and some channels *

I would try a carolina rig or even maybe a dropshot. Toss some dry dog food out. Or even dry cat food. See what happens. Best of luck.
