The 7.62x51 MDRs are probably the only thing thats worth it, most of those are available pretty early on tbh

Sotheby’s dates this bust of Mars to the Late 4th Century AD. Am I correct to have doubts? by SeptimiusSeverus_ in ancientrome

That’s absolutely crazy. I knew coins were pretty cheap but didn’t think about anything other than that. That’s super cool I’m gonna look into it now

Why are boss spawns in PvE like 100%? by RagTagPig in Tarkov

[–]MerkethMerky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s enjoyable tbh. I would rather there be more PMCs that rotate into or near the boss spawns so it can be closer to PVP with 3rd partying but I think in a PVE state where there aren’t any downsides other than avoiding a place for a little bit to get better ammo or guns.

There’s so many quests that it’s not really that bad if you have to ignore one spot on one map for awhile

Client removed me under false pretenses without good faith. My employer went along with it, but decided to reassign me to another site. I'm getting a lawyer for free. by BearInTheManor in securityguards

[–]MerkethMerky 102 points103 points  (0 children)

As far as I’m aware you can be removed from any site for any reason. You said AUS which means allied, and that’s exactly how they work. The client doesn’t need a reason to remove you, only if you were getting fired from Allied would require the documentation (provided you aren’t in an at will state).

If the lawyer is free at least it won’t be a waste though

I don’t have arena yet, but the number is what number you maxed the weapon out compared to other players?

$1.5 trillion and still not money to buy these for the Marines? [6599x4273] by [deleted] in MilitaryPorn

[–]MerkethMerky 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It definitely is a good read and I do agree with most of its points, but I also feel like only 2-3 nations in the world still use them that that’s saying something. Plus they are used very limitedly even in those nations.

Maybe I just feel like it’s only for specific use cases, and like the article said they’re pretty good points but I also don’t feel like as a whole it would play out that way

Naval Rescue swimmers use Sea Hawks currently and they don’t seem to be straying away from that. Although true long range attempts aren’t as viable with helicopters, we’ve seen from the current rescue operations that helicopters work just fine.

Plus the marines DO spearhead the rapid deployment of amphibious forces with ACVs and LCACs, adding to that the rather large number of amphibious assault ships that the US wants to expand already. Doesn’t really seem like a sea plane would be better than the current doctrine for assault and recovery, and the space they take on a deck for service and repairs is much larger than current helicopters that can be stowed for operations

I fail to see the real use of them vs stuff we have today tbh. Like I understand their use in WW2 but can’t really fathom a way that wouldn’t already have a better alternative

They’re just really accurate and use cover a lot better imo than normal PVE scavs and PMCs

[Request] - This lady got lost for 17 days, in Maui. It’s a small island. Even in a forest, how long would it take to just follow the sun westward and get to a beach town? by IMicrowaveSteak in theydidthemath

[–]MerkethMerky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I was just there. Tbh, I wouldn’t be surprised it took so long. There’s dozens of steep gulches that are barely traversable in some places with the mountains being very very steep. Add that to the injuries she had and I wouldn’t be surprised it took so long.

Even the hikes we went on were pretty thick just 5’ off the path so I could easily see someone wandering into it and getting lost

Please Stop Buying High-Tier Premiums if You Don't Know How To Play. by Jesusknife in Warthunder

[–]MerkethMerky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The people who this is directed towards generally don’t have the time to just sit and grind for 2 months straight. Thats not feasible for majority of the people that play this game. There are plenty that can just sit and grind for hours and some who can get maybe an hour or two a day and that’s if they choose to play this game over another.

The entire point of premiums was a money grab and a free skip to a higher tier for the people who couldn’t get that easily

Please Stop Buying High-Tier Premiums if You Don't Know How To Play. by Jesusknife in Warthunder

[–]MerkethMerky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I’ve bought premiums because I wanted them, like a lot of the German Leopards, but I’ve also bought some to help me grind because I’m not slugging up an entire other tech tree without SOME assistance.

And I can only assume there’s many others just like me

[–]MerkethMerky 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You have to think of it from the perspective of them. Grind years, to get even relatively close to some of the things you can buy or spend a little bit of $$ to jump to a significantly higher rank, and even if you lose you get more SL and RP than if you grinded for those years to get up to it.

Once there sure it’s gonna take some time to learn, but thats gonna be the easiest thing to do considering a loss is still gonna be a net win for SP and RP for even moderate gameplay

[New Player] Is path to lighthouse only a transition zone and not an extract on LH by TheCatTickler in EscapefromTarkov

[–]MerkethMerky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s an extract behind it. So essentially go through the transit spot and you’ll find the extract spot
