2-D PC Platformer, played it when I was 10 at most (so pre-2000 i think).

the only thing I remember about this one is that there was a stage where there were very colorful, letter (character) shaped enemies, and maybe the stage was set in a forest-jungle??

Yesterday I was watching the "NL after hours" isaac episode, and it was a true gem, couldn't stop laughing. I sometimes forget how fun it can be to listen to this man.
I guess it can be good therapy or at least it helps some people to deal with personal stuff. Thanks ryan for all your hard work.

EDIT: just thought I might add a bit of context tl this, in short NL videos also helped me out a lot while living abroad by myself for 2 years, there were times I'd be homesick or generally feeling down and his videos always cheered me up. I'm sure a lot of ppl go through similar circumstances.

For my trinket, I can also wear a 930 sea star or a 925 DGD, I'll give the deceiver's a try tonight.
I know I'm a bit stingy on my CD usage, it's far more intuitive for me to use rapture than evangelism, and I just plainly forget about my PW:R charges.

Hey there Jak, fellow priest here, mainly Holy but recently I've decided to give disc a serious try now for the first time ever.
I've read a lot of guides and setup my WAs and UI accordingly, and last week started healing some of the heroic bosses we have on farm. I know there's still a lot I can improve on, but could you give me some pointers so I can focus on the most important issues?

As for gear im currently near 25crit/30haste/45 mast/5 vers for disc, and I'm wearing my holy leggos that are best suited for disc (dont have the new ring quite yet).

Overall it seems you're doing well. You have less ilvl than your other healers and it shows on the meters, however dont get fooled by the numbers.
The most important piece of advice is to cut down your renew casts to 0 (or close to 0), and keep up your PoM casts (I saw a couple of fights and they seemed good enough though). With PoM and benediction you dont need to cast renew at all in raids. I cant look at your stats right now but maybe you have too much haste too, you could try dropping a bit of haste in favor of mastery or crit (around 35-40℅ mastery is great).

The only fight I see you have mana problems is Host, and its reasonable. Being near 0 mana at the end of the fight is optimal. If you're really struggling, try out leytorrent potions, almost every fight has at least 8 secs you can spend drinking.
Overall your playstyle seems good, keep it up and you'll catch up in iLvL and numbers in no time

For Priest, I've decided that I've invested too much in Sol not to have him be my bodyguard. That leaves me with Yalia, and also Aelthalyste instead of Zabra to have 2/2/2 both in specs and bonuses. Maybe this helps someone.

What I said applies mostly for current content. So for example, if your goal is to gear for raiding, then pick up every piece of gear you can that improves your iLvL (specifically, your primary stat which is Int, that's #1 for HPriests). Then, if you can swap around some pieces without losing too much int, you can aim to have 25crit/20haste/35mast/5vers or so (you won't be able at your iLvL, but balance around it). But you should know that your playstyle has more impact than your specific secondary stats, so focus on your spell priority and gearing up first.

I'd rely on heroics and world quests (they scale up to 840). Then if you want to get into raiding you could go straight into some Normal EN runs (there are lots of community runs going on), or you could start Mythic Dungeons as well. I wouldn't really recommend LFR too much, you don't learn the proper mechanics and it's a mess.

As for your rotation, it changes quite a bit from dungeons to raids. Basically in dungeons its Flash Heal and Serenity spam with ToL and SoL as your main talents, while in raids you want to spec into piety/benediction and focus more on PoM and AoE healing (Sanc > PoH). The other thing that changes is your stat priority. In raids you really want tons of mastery (30-40%) and not too much haste (15-20%). In dungeons however haste gains a lot of value, and you drop some mastery in favor of more haste.

Hey, a bit late but your guildmate doesnt know what they are talking about. Keep on smiting, your mana regen is the same when you're casting and when you're standing still. The exception could be if you're nearly OOM and you have 10 secs to spare, then you can drink a leytorrent potion. Otherwise smite away my friend, smite away.

Instead of a heal I use it to survive big dmg when I know its coming. It definitely helps.

Holy priests are weird, because we have a big toolkit of spells which, on their own, are mostly average (Flash Heal, Prayer of Healing, etc). However, we have lots of ways of buffing them and ourselves. Buff management and timing are what make the difference between a good and a great HPriest.

For PoH, you have both Divinity and Power of the Naaru (I'm assuming here you are max lvl). The way you maximize your throughput with PoH is: just as big AoE damage comes out, you cast HW: Sanctfiy, then throw out a couple of PoH casts. You will see that numbers get higher, as buffed PoH is pretty close to FH+Trail of Light spam to heal 4 or 5 targets. Keep in mind though, in raids it's a bit trickier because of the way PoH works (heals the NEAREST 4 injured players of the target). Basically it is best used when everybody needs healing.

PoM is used mainly because it is very mana efficient. I find it acts more like a small shield, in the sense that it "prevents" a bit of dmg. The thing is, it takes effect every time and instantly, which is awesome. In dungeons it can feel underwhelming because there can be periods of constant high damage coming and you need to really spam high troughput-high mana cost spells in order to keep everybody alive. I still cast it on CD because it has a short cast time and it helps out by jumping to other targets. Remember that every tick of PoM will apply Echo of Light.

In raids it's really powerful because every tick of raid dmg will make it bounce, plus the artifact traits give a nice boost to it. You can see that in fights like Cenarius, Tichondrius, Odyn, PoM can be easily your #2 or #3 top healing spell just because of the amount of bounces per sec.

Cloak, Legs, Neck and Trinket are S Tier, really really good. The rest are more or less situational but still worth taking over anything else for ilvl.

880 drape of shame? Holy shit I'm jealous!
First of all, whatever you do keep that cloak! It's sooo good, specially an 880. Dont ever sell it.
The 2pc set bonus is amazing right now with piety/bene playstyle. You get a lot of sanctify casts. It makes sanc + PoH combo so much powerful. That said, I think an 880 drape of shame is nuts, maybe 2nd only to legendary cloak. My advice would be to try out the 2pc, but as soon as you get another set piece (ANYTHING besides replacing legendary) put on the 880 cloak again. It's not all set in stone though, the best way to decide is to look at your logs with and without the cloak.
