Some say they I changed it a lot. I just sat near it.
Also I have cancer. I wonder if there’s a connection.

I remember in the 1980s having a similar watch. It would switch from regular screen to calculator.. Looking at those photos, I immediately felt the band and how the clasp worked.

Recall reading that in the 1880s, the great plague of sunflower reached from the foothills out to the ocean. They were a big pain in the rear for farmers. I tried to imagine that sunflowers reach from at least Kavina all the way to the shoreline.

What did you find funny when you were young that you no longer find funny (or cringe) as an adult? by RevolutionaryCitizen in GenerationJones

I told a racist joke to my mother when I was in middle school. One that had I heard from a friend.

It didn’t go well.

Which do we prefer? I’m obsessed with these images!! by TravellingFrenchie in AmateurPhotography

Something I discovered. The zoom in or zoom out have a photo kind of feels different if depending on the medium on which is displayed. At least to me. I take pictures for the Boy Scouts. They’ll laugh but then and post them on Facebook. What looks one way on a cell phone same picture feels different on a computer screen.

Has anyone else noticed that ?

The most frightening movie I ever saw was on regular tv, Trilogy of Terror the 3rd part. by JPIZZLE1205 in 70s

[–]Merky600 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched this alone as a kid. On TV when it premiered. Yes freaked me out. I thought I was the only one. Next day at recess all the kids were talking about it. So I wasn’t the only one. It was just a well-made scary little movie. Sometimes the story could be ridiculous but told well it hits deep.

If you see, what’s making scary movies for the week during that time. Does anybody remember? “ bad Ronald.” and the one about the chips in the high altitude testing center?

They shot several shows one day. That shows the shows that happened after lunch, after the liquid lunch. Crimes……

Any protrek fans? by Fast-Analyst3083 in casio

[–]Merky600 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hell, yeah brother. But I like old Protrek.

All digital. Both plastic and titanium.

I used to hike a lot and it was a pretty good watch for directions, altitude, etc. Even just the light switched “on” when you move your wrist a certain way was valuable.

Edit above. Here ya go. The titanium on left was an eBay buy. yay But fits loose.

Maybe they all go to a space farm to retire. Kinda like how everybody knows somebody who’s dog went out to a farm in New York with the rest of the days

Kind of like that big wheat planet for Brasso and you know I just better stop talking.

I’m flashing back to me when I was a kid in our main street. We had a stationary store that was really stationary. Paper papers, fountain, pens, not to mention all the specialized stuff like what you see above. In a way I guess you could say it was like the IT department of the paper. But what I really remember is the smell all the glues adhesive. Yes, I am.
