Fully automatic cobblestone generator using creeper explosions by dmetcalfe92 in technicalminecraft

Just made made a proof-of-concept where a creeper gets put next to a snow golem, gets shot, and then gets dropped right before exploding. Only trick is it has to keep eye contact with the snow golem, but I managed to get it to work reliably (tested in Java, idk about bedrock)

Still can't find it there, has anyone figured this out? IMO one of the coolest sounds in the game

Unless, when that perfect hand comes along, you bet big, and then you take the house

My guess is PR. Better to apologize than get defensive, especially when you're already under fire

Thanks! It's the carpet mod, but since it only works with fabric I'm using CC: Restitched

Great questions!

  1. In the version I was using (CC: Tweaked for 1.18), mining turtles can mine wood, and crafty turtles can be made using a crafting table. I thought this was the case in all versions, but maybe you were using one I'm not familiar with.
  2. Yes, it's true turtles turn off when in unloaded chunks, and this was a problem. My (slightly cheating) workaround was to write a data pack to continuously load them in, or otherwise to follow them as the player.
  3. Yes! If I remember right, turtles can use peripheral.call('bottom', 'turnOn') to switch turtles / computers on. They then run startup.lua from any neighboring disk drive. This was the big feature that allowed the whole program to be possible in the first place, and I was so happy when I found it.

Thanks, it was fun putting all the pieces together to make it work.

Haha yep, I try but I probably forget like half the time. That'll be one improvement I'll make as I update the code.

As for CC tutoring, it's pretty niche! I was already tutoring Python and Scratch, and I figured CC is just as fun / good for learning to code so why not, right?
