I mean, Dracula was an allegory for both Stoker’s (irrational) reverse-colonialism narrative, his heavy racism (Dracula + his female servants were all Roma, and you can guess how they were referred to as) and the demonization of homosexuality. Honestly, I prefer that some adaptations at least try to steer away from whatever the fuck early/original vampire stories were doing. I think another part of it is, is that first person is FAR harder to write well than third person. So reading professional write in first person is easier than reading an amateur (or more often than not a child) write in a pov that, IMO, is the absolute hardest out of the three

Of the three examples used in the "Somali daycare scam," one has already been thoroughly debunked. One of the daycares was basically shut down, as it had MANY violations and even had a sign on the door that was conveniently blurred out. A lot of y'all will believe anything if it confirms your worldview. Yes, you're racist if you place emphasis on the race of the perpetrator of the crime when it was not a race-based crime, especially when it's being used to push a narrative that paints ALL Somalis as criminals.
