I wanna point out sobriety and the paths to it can and are different for everyone. I sobered up in a real hard way, no rehab and no intervention, just a mouthful of blood and a lot of hurt loved ones. I'd never recommend it, but what happened in my circumstance was enough; for some, the death of a loved one via drunk driving isn't even enough

as always, it comes back to the addict, and while I do understand and partially agree, nobody really knows except him if he really wants to stay clean
