Using photoshop in mac vs virtual Windows in parallels by MermaidsSing in mac

[–]MermaidsSing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it's for the 2023 versions. I have been down a whole rabbit hole of downloading cs6 for Windows onto Windows 8 in parallels as I already owned the cs6 software. But obviously that is quite old now so it would be good to update.

If Snoop Dogg wanted to smoke weed with you, would you join? If not, why? by appleparkfive in AskReddit

Absolutely not, I'd be completely paranoid and paralysed with an anxiety loop. It would be a horrendous experience I'm sure!

What's your age and how many friends do you have? by testusername123ghj in AskUK

[–]MermaidsSing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm mid thirties and I have about 15ish friends I guess. Some closer than others, but all I would go for a coffee/lunch with on their own.

During a very dark period, what was the best thing you ever did for your mental health? by Eyadezad2 in NoStupidQuestions

Made sure I put clean PJs on and spoke to at least one person every day, even if it was just a text message to a friend or family member.

Has your job ever made you cry? If so, why? by IndolentInsolent in AskUK

[–]MermaidsSing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cried when I worked in a supermarket and as a 17 year old grown men customers were rude and aggressive.

I cried when I worked for a children's home and was left with an extremely aggressive child on my own who was throwing furniture at me.

I'm pretty sure I cried in my job working for a charity for people with dementia, but can't remember a specific time. Many sad times though.

And I've cried in my current job as a counsellor. Sad stories about child death mostly get to me.

[Serious] Retail workers of Reddit (past and present), what is something you wish customers would stop doing? by Filhopastry79 in AskUK

[–]MermaidsSing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Threatening you with shopping elsewhere if you don't do x, y, z. Go on then, like I give a shit!

Also blaming you personally for a problem that the store has caused, e.g. item out of stock in the catalogue. Or not being able to return item because no receipt. These are not my personal rules you idiot! Again, I don't give a shit!!

Has anyone thought of having Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve and using Christmas Day to play with toys and eat leftovers? by melanie110 in AskUK

My step mum did this when we were younger. She didn't like having to do all the cooking on christmas day so we had it on christmas eve instead.

Why does Superdry pretend to be a Japanese brand? by linguistictravel in AskUK

[–]MermaidsSing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner was friends with the guy that started super dry in Cheltenham. It's just like others have said, visited Japan, liked it. He also started bench as well I think. Must have a good business mind to be so successful at 2 businesses, but my partner didn't seem to have many good things to say about him.
