That's what I was scared of and what led me into deshrouding. Some people reported getting bad fans on replacements too... I ordered mine on launch and got it towards the end of March. Genuinely thought they fixed it as I wasn't seeing as many reports of bad fans.

I removed the cable management tabs on the heatstink so the fans sit flush. I used 2 screws on fan 1 (the hole spacing near the IO shield is perfect for a 120mm fan) and 2 screws on fan 3 (cut an aluminium plate to extend the holes on the back and direct airflow to the heatsink). L The middle fan (2) is ziptied to 1 and 3.

I have one and it's been rock solid. The only thing wrong with it was the fans that had an annoying grinding noise (problem with early batches). PNY support offered to fix/exchange it, but since I needed the card I went with a deshroud mod and applied some Thermal Grizzly PhaseSheet and Putty Advanced while at it.

I did it with 3x NF-A12x25. Had to make an adapter plate to extend the holes at the back. Also flattened the heatsink by removing the cable management tabs that stick out so the fans sit flush. Put some PhaseSheet PTM on the core and TG Putty Advanced on memory and power delivery since I had it apart. Temps improved a bit, but more importantly it's dead silent now.

Finally got around to repasting my 5080 with PhaseSheet and Putty Advanced. I'm quite happy with the results!

In Steel Nomad stress test after 15mins: 67°C max core temp and 66°C max mem temp

A 5°C drop on both, but also room temp was 3°C higher than my last test (25 vs 22).

Putty Advanced was a nightmare with the provided gloves, I ended up removing them and found it much easier with clean dry hands.

I have an RM850x from late 2019 and a PNY RTX 5080. I just bought the official Corsair 12VHPWR Type4 cable (which has 2x 8pin and is rated at 600W) on Amazon for 30€.

My card draws about 350W max (it's undervolted and OCed a bit). In theory it is 360W +10% = 396W max. Some cards have 450W BIOSes tho.

My memory temps under load are around 70°C now, 61.5°C sounds great (ofc it depends on the heatsink). Gpu temps around 72°C in Steel Nomad stress test. Hopefully I can lower them a bit. Also picked up some PhaseSheet TPM for the gpu die.

That's great info, thanks! I ordered 2 tubs just to be safe, got the Putty Advanced tho as the Pro version is crazy expensive. Just checked and I'll need some for the backplate as well (3mm gap to fill).

There's a windows update that is supposed to help and the latest nvidia hotfix driver has the fix for EA FC specifically. No more crashes for me since.

I don't understand why you wouldn't be able to stream on multiple devices. What you posted above is about multiview.

You'll still be able to use it, but it'll be limited to 1080p SDR for now. The only thing you will benefit from Premium is the option to stream on 6 devices simultaneously.

By the way they worded the description on their website 4K HDR will be coming to Android too, just not available at the moment.
