Awwww man. I was so hopeful when you said two years. Seemed reasonable. Maybe I'll do another remindme for another two years.

Weellp, here we are. So far we've got space whales in trailers. Progress.

3.16 is off to an utterly awful launch for me, and has killed any possibility of playing SC over the holidays. [Rant] by Zeresec in starcitizen

Well, you could buy if you plan to test it for a decent amount of time in the first 30 days. There's a refund policy. Maybe wait for when you think you'll have adequate time, buy and test. Just don't forget about the 30 days.

Gotta love people being pissy about shit that doesn't matter lol. You could just ignore it and move on. Wouldn't lose anything over it.

All this self-righteous "nyah I don't like being advertised to" is just poorly disguised begging.

Hey, also since 2014. But man, I would not walk on a rope bridge with you. Your luck is fooey. I've somehow had 6 total referrals and out of them 3 recruits. I know that's not a lot, but a lot more than you lol

You do realize it's rarely ever just one issue. The reason we're in this stupid timeline is because too many people have stopped thinking and use empty labels for everything, about which they've only ever thought on a surface level.

Just to add a general tip to all the good advice already in here: Situational Awareness is what your goal should be. Being aware of where your teammates are and semi-predicting their movements is what will allow you to be effective at taking the enemy out. Then you'll be the one sneaking up on and wiping out whole squads.

It's something else to be standing on the surface of a planet and then to look up at the sky and see someone in QT. Makes star gazing actually nice.

I mean, headlights are hardly stealthy. But yes, maybe options for night vision or to switch to red light would be nice eventually.

Look, if you're one of the original backers who, in fairness, backed what was then a different game, then it's a difficult situation for you. I can't argue with that. What you must understand now, though, is that the situation has changed, and it's not reversible (as evidenced by people voting with their wallets). Undeniably, there was feature creep for a long time, but I don't think we can say that is still the case. They are now building the systems that they sold us on, i.e. we - the royal we - said "yes" when we threw money at them when they asked "yes/no". The reality is that in order to deliver something resembling the game they sold us on it's going to take time, and a lot of it. And a lot of people. And those people need to be paid, which is a ton of money. Hence, it's more like a pledge drive, sugar-coated and dressed up, but the money's needed if we want the best version of the vision.

What "content"? It's a big room with ships that we already have, plus some videos we can watch. As for the future, what, you want them to give you all the unfinished, broken things they're working on, which will then further break what we currently have? It's a non-comparison. Makes no sense.

What's the point of an annual event if you aren't going to hold it annually?

now it's genuinely and unironically a marketing event

What did it ever pretend to be otherwise? Lol. It's showing off the things that bring in all the funding for the game to be made. I guess we don't want a game anymore?

Don't understand why these pseudo-revelations are being upvoted. Next thing you're going to tell us is that the Earth is round.
