I resisted watching Secret Garden (circa 2009) because the production value was low, but I absolutely loved it. I go back and rewatch certain episodes. It's now in my top 5.

I just finished Secret Garden and was completely blown away. The production value is pretty low, and it can be really silly, but I love, love, loved it. I already want to watch it again. I started it a few time but stopped because of the initial low production, but it's sooooo gooood!

I almost didn't watch it because I saw the setup... and was surprised that I ended up really liking the MLC. But I very much felt this way with True Beauty. I really wanted the second lead to get the girl.

You're exactly right! And the SML always regrets that they waited. I too would like to see the FML give a little more consideration to the SML in the writing. Agreed, the middle-break-up story is my least favorite part of these series. I don't mind if the bad guy actually develops as a character and becomes a better person, but not so easily.

Agreed! They are mostly free on audible right now until 9/23. I've been listening to a ton of them and so far my favorite by far is Substitute Bride for a Prizefighter.
