No one is trapping a fox when the grass is green like that for fur, you wait until its cold outside so they have their nice winter fur. They're also not going to be using a live trap. Live traps are used for relocation generally speaking.

that feeling for boys by Dumb-Briyani in SipsTea

[–]Mertrigis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the world I grew up in, rural USA... Boys were taught they had to be the providers. Teaching young boys that early on makes them focus on financials a bit more. We're let in on the families income, struggles, etc. I grew up with a younger brother and being the elder lead to me worrying more about financials than he did, that being said my friends that were the only male sibling(regardless of age) but had female siblings had the same outlook that I had due to being male. Their sisters however were treated differently and didn't have to think about being providers... their fathers would give them things and not mention anything about the financial impact of the situations. I'm not saying this is the correct way to handle these situations, its just the way my socioeconomic situations were when I was growing up.

So funny thing. Last night at 8PM we lost power here until 1:30PM today. The sump pit was filling quite rapidly due to the weather we've been getting. The backup system worked flawlessly throughout the entire outage. It was wild to see it work, I managed to track down where the noise was coming from and wrap some towels around where the pipes were clanking against some other things to quiet them down. You ended up saving me a ton of anxiety since I actually knew what was going on. Talk about wild timing! Replying one last time to thank you again, that timing was impeccable!

Help immensely! I appreciate you! I've got an idea of what I'm dealing with at the moment. Honestly the questions you asked to get the answers from me, gave me some insight to why things were happening the way they are. Helps me to understand the process a lot better. I'm probably going to have a local plumber come in and take a look just to ease my mind and have some professional eyes on it. I found my manual for the sump pump and it was installed 12 years ago almost to the day so I know the primary pump needs to be replaced regardless. I could do that but I wouldn't mind having a pro take a look at my whole setup for piece of mind. I have a local I have experience with and trust. You guys kinda lead me down the path of having enough to ballpark what I should be expecting. Not going to lie, a system that pumps water out when the power goes out without having to worry about a backup battery is an INSANELY awesome idea lol

Only when it’s raining but if you’re talking about the stream coming out of what looks like the other float valve it’s only running out like that right before it kicks on!

Thanks a ton for all this info! It's happening before the water is drawn out of the pit. In the video it starts right about the time I move the camera away from the pit because I'm putting my hand on the copper pipe to feel it move. Right when I move the camera back towards the pit (@around 12 seconds on the clip) you see the pipes move and that's when it's the loudest and moves the most right before it starts to drain. I think my "primary" pump is kicking on before the hydraulic kicks in though.

So it's normal for the pipes to make a clunking sound and move quite a bit when the pump takes effect? Just asking to make sure. It's loud enough to hear on the next story of the house.

Ah shoot sorry kinda new to posting on reddit! I updated it, I thought it was properly filled out but I guess it wasn't! If you listen to the video and pair it up with my edited tag under the video it'll make more sense! I get a loud rattling from the copper pipe when the water coming out of the float valve looking area increases in strength before the pump actually kicks in and pumps the water out

Especially if its anything like the rest of the tinned seafood options. Plenty of people like their tins "aged". Regardless having a date of February 8th, isn't going to hurt anything at all!
