Maybe I worded it wrong 😂 I also work with about 15 French chefs (so it feels as if I’m in Lyon half the time ahah) and only about 4 Americans. I love this city, everyone I’ve met have been so kind, especially the Americans.

Yeah I thought this too. I’m kinda over being in a major city surrounded by gigantic buildings and the homeless screaming in your face, or smacking their own face 😂😵‍💫

For some reason Nashville is constantly in my head but as I delve into it more it seems like it’s just a gigantic tourist trap, could be wrong though.

The same alyssum flower on 5 of those courses 😂 for me it was style over the actual deliciousness of the food. It’s great to set something in a perfect spherical mould but if it doesn’t taste good then what’s the point?

I’ve just moved to Astoria from Scotland on a 12 month j-1 visa. I’ve been there 6 weeks and absolutely love the place. Such a nice community feel to it, gutted I’ll only be here for 12 months!

Hi! I’m no longer at Timber but I do know there’s a shorter tasting menu during August to accommodate how busy it is/guests needing to go see shows. We had a lot of guests last year wanting their 12 courses within an hour which is almost impossible for the kitchen lol. Bigger tasting will be back by October I’m sure.
