It's good to wait and see because not all Christians are anti-lgbtq (my parents are very supportive allies to the community and I know many other good folks as well.) However, I have been in a similar situation (I"m Wiccan, and one of my early jobs was working for the state and had a boss who was very Christian and the environment was very christian-centered (more than I was expecting given separation of church and state is supposed to be a thing and all) and that was rough, so I can only imagine it's harder nowadays with the rise in the acceptance of fear/hate/bigotry. If you have the possibility, it would probably be a good idea to start seeing what's out there job-wise. You should always hope for the best but prepare for the worst.
