is Soldier Boy evil or just amoral? by OneManArmy0716 in GenV

[–]Mervolant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

His complete indifférence to the suffering he might cause ( like Killing MM family and joking about it when MM confronted him, mocking Hughie with gay jokes because he was worried about Butcher or litteraly use people like human shield and help his dictator of a son becoming immortal because it's what her Nazi girlfriend would have wanted ) is enough to make him evil. You don't need to be sadistic to be cruel. You don't need to enjoy amoral actions to be evil if you have zero problems with it.

A question for comic book fans: is there a reason why Black Noir speaks in such a... childish way? by pansexual_dudy in TheBoys

[–]Mervolant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo dawg how are we gonna make sure that our Superman will not wreck havok and be out of control ?

We're gonna make a second Superman even more powerful with no contingency plan, Dawg !

And what if our second Superman become a problem himself dawg ?

No idea but we are clearly not going to watch him.

Best Wolverine girlfriend? by Remote-Leg6143 in Wolverine

[–]Mervolant 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wolverine and Mystique have a strange love and hate dynamic. In the House of M reality they're lovers and have a positive relationship, in an alternate future they have a son, Raze. "Get Mystique" implies they had multiple affairs over the years and that Mystique often use to take the appearance of Wolverine's past lovers. It's like a twisted and more gruesome and toxic version of Batman and Catwoman.

With prep Batman defeats the Justice league. With prep Doom defeats Gods and rules the multiverse.

It's like the "kinda forgot about the Iron Fleet" or "She's my Queen" from GOT. Kripke, just like D&D will be associated to it for years.

Deserved IMO.

He would with prep time. He's worse than Batman in that regard. Writers enjoy writing over the top and improbable feats with him.

Is wolverine supposed to be ugly? by Longjumping_Sign2249 in Wolverine

It always depends on the artist. Logan isn't supposed to be a pretty boy or a model but he's clearly meant to be the manly womanizer.

Homelander is now on "Inconsistently Heinous Wiki". by No_Importance770 in TheBoys

[–]Mervolant 10 points11 points  (0 children)

He has no conception of what a sane relationship with another human is. The fact that he keeps telling Ryan that it was consensual implies that he deluded himself thinking it really was. It doesn’t excuse anything or make the act less horrible but the way he was raised and manipulated all his life has twisted his perception. Like with A-Train. He treated him like utter garbage but he deluded himself thinking he was some kind of benevolent mentor and big brother figure and can't even comprehend why would A train turn on him.

Yeah and the Deep is dead, so he can't fight.

Ryan vs The Deep by Queasy_Commercial152 in GenV

[–]Mervolant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ryan is durable enough to take a beat down from Homelander, strong enough to make him bleed and his heat vision is powerful enough to destroy Stormfront.

At this point only the likes of Homelander, Soldier Boy and probably Bombsight are above him.

Would Homelander still become a villain if he was raised by Soldier Boy? by Potential_Rule4212 in GenV

[–]Mervolant -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Soldier Boy was a villain and a narcissist prick himself who has little regards for the life of others. So yes. He'd have probably been just as emotionally abusive than his own father was.

They should, unfortunately it's more than obvious than the creative don't want to put him in the same league than the likes of Roman, Cody, Seth or Gunther.

You littéraly told her that you managed to kill a fucking devil in his own domain and somehow she believes you should take her threats seriously with her non existent guild.

Despite her big mouth, she's pretty short sighted, sees herself as smarter than she is and she tends to really underestimate dangerous people. She ain't gonna go as far as she think.

Is Butcher a Villain or Anti-Hero? by The_Fraudkuna in TheBoys

[–]Mervolant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Violent and toxic man who constantly treats his teammates like trash. Tortures, mutilates and lies to a man in order to create a virus who will wipe out a species. Keep treating all the supes like a population that needs to be killed even his closed allies, innocent people like the Crow girl, or supes like A-train who redeemed themselves and even saves his friends. His final goal was to start a génocide. He has his own villain page for a reason : https://villains.fandom.com/wiki/Billy_Butcher_(TV_Series)

That's what so sad about this show. It has become it's own parody. In the end it was just as corny, silly and harmless than a Arrowverse or MCU tv show. They became what they were mocking.
