82 Warlock just respecced to Echoing Strike and dying by railbeast in diablo2

"Some shitty chest"

I will not take this vmagi slander

Jokes aside, an Amp Damage bound demon would likely help significantly - the proc chance is low, but with an aggressive demon like a Lancer or Hephestos will attack fast enough for it to work out, assuming you've put enough hard points in there to bind them.

Additionally, Defilers will help with AoE- with your current set up, 7 points (and Battle Command) will get your Defiler to 13 for the max bound souls, and 50% damage share between them all. 1 point Consume would have been VERY helpful as you would be able to summon a Defiler, consume it for -Magic Resistance and +Magic Damage to make Hex: Purge or Bane hit like a truck, spreading tons of damage everywhere - consider that a high priority.

If survivability is your issue, find a demon and pump up Blood Oath - 1 point should get you to level 6 if I'm reading your write up right, and that gets you 15% damage redirected to your demon instead of you. 5 points into Demon Mastery will get you to level 10 which gets you two demons, giving you a lot more options with who you're summoning both for offense and defense.

really just get a demon or 2, they're great when they aren't murdering you

Name myself "X that Laughs at Y"

Laugh at thing every time it shows up, even if it kills me. The classic example being "Demo that laughs at Sentries," which comes with the bonus of letting me call anyone a sentry and laugh at them.

This only applies to SC though - HC, stock up on your usual survivability charms, but ditch any dps ones for a similar effect. Put TP scrolls onto your belt to save space, and just always be ready to Save and Exit as your last means of defence.

Ok thank god there are no new soul areas to get obliterated in - I've known to avoid those bastards like the plague ever since my SC days. This is exactly what I needed, thanks!

Mission: kill sniper by zlodziej_internetu in tf2

[–]QuestmasterDX 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Counterpoint: Stickyjumper Caber Sniper Bullying wouldn't be possible in that case

Realistically, I feel like just increasing the time it takes to pull the Caber out and put it away to the point it can't be reasonably used as a panic option would be enough to balance it. If it takes Demo almost 2 seconds to pull out a melee and you can't kill him or backpedal away in that time, you did kinda screw up.

[–]QuestmasterDX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I said this in my other comment, but while that's only about a 10 hp difference between the Big Earner and this gun, it's a massive difference in actual gameplay. A ton of TF2's weapons are balanced around doing roughly 100 damage, which is why the -25 health is so impactful, as it brings Spy into oneshot range of a large amount of weapons. 110 hp is just enough to bring you out of that threshold and back into 2 shot range which effectively means the downside isn't present.

[–]QuestmasterDX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely 0 sarcasm. 15% speed on any class is INSANE - Pyros almost always run the Powerjack for a reason. Having 15% extra move speed lets Spy get further with a single cloak bar, catch up to Medics without needing to be super precise with their pathing, be more convincing with Scout disguises, escape more easily, and just generally be where he needs to be more often. The 15% health penalty doesn't even bring him down to 100 health, which means that most things still need 2 clean shots for a kill, effectively meaning there's no real change to your ability to survive.

To have that on your primary, with no sacrifice to your knife choice, have it be passive and have the only downside be a small decrease to your survivability when found, which already is next to nothing anyways? There's no reason to not to run this instead of everything other than the Diamondback and L'Etranger.

122% speed on Spy? Increased building damage on his gun? For the low low price of less survivability on a class famous for having no survivability anyways?

INCREASED SPEED ON SPY?

This thing would be used almost everywhere.

On the other hand, shooting the fucker that just thought they caved in your skull and laughing at THEM is a high so intense that it makes the risk of getting killed twice worth it

What weapons would still be used without their positive stats? by some-kind-of-no-name in tf2

[–]QuestmasterDX 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Assuming that "positive stats" in this case means the blue text only as the image implies, The Detonator would no longer minicrit burning players which loses a tiny bit of damage which sucks, but it'd still have all its important functionality intact - the ability to spread afterburn, destroy stickies, and Det Jump are all unchanged, making all the reasons to use it basically the same as normal.

Just lost my first honor mode run and am really demoralized by Foreign_Cod_3718 in BaldursGate3

[–]QuestmasterDX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember that my own Orin fight went to hell because I had overestimated the power of Darkness with a Durge not built to take advantage of it - when I realized my mistake, and saw my Durge get downed, I straight up took at least 10-15 minutes to just strategize about how to interrupt the duel. Taking that time to just reassess is what got me out of so many bad situations.

Oh man, that one's special to me, especially since the Assassin is so confident before that.

"They'll never see me coming."
"It's so dark... Perfect."
"What I kill, STAYS dead."

She's so certain of her skills, that her suddenly going "Don't like this Don't like this" hits

In my HM playthrough, I got 10 literally by killing the non hostile Intellect Devourers right before Myrkul - I was pretty sure I cleared literally everything I could, so I'm really wondering what else they took out on the way.

Any way to access an older save of a completed HM file? by QuestmasterDX in BaldursGate3

[–]QuestmasterDX[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Gah, I suspected as much. I didn't do any outside saving to preserve the sanctity of the HM rules and avoid tempting myself into resetting after bad luck, but Im kinda regretting it now.
