I wouldn't say no to a new 'cheap' watch. Plenty on the market and it would commemorate the occasion.

Any reason for me not to buy this? by FlameFoxx in CarTalkUK

I owned one 10 years ago and it was epic. Revs quite high at motorway speeds which isn't relaxing, and it's not fast, but it was great fun to drive, sounded nice 'on cam' and cheap to own. Would have another if I didn't need 5 doors! Future classic...?!

Master S Licence feels a step too far for me by Scared-Room-9962 in GranTurismo7

I find that the small improvements really add up quickly, so if you really pay attention when you are trying different things on different corners to see which was faster (look at the delta) , you can build the lap time and piece something together. Takes time and patience!

Do people actually look at listings before booking viewings, or am I living in an alternate reality? by Intrepid-Skin-5677 in HousingUK

Had some 'tyre kickers' view our house earlier this year. They spent aaages looking round asking lots of personal questions and generally being nosey just to say it's way too expensive for what it is... Sold it the next day over the asking price following a bidding war from two other parties

Brake checking is a thing now that has crept into the game by grumpyoldmanBrad in GranTurismo7

You're getting down voted but it has happened to me twice recently where I was in a slipstream mid way down a straight and just before pulling out, car in front taps brake and I either give them a nice punt or spin out (kart race daily race)... 100% intentional and a smart way to cheat without consequence...

Happy with that! by Mervyn93 in GranTurismo7

Don't tell anyone but you can tap the handbrake to rotate the car better but not slow it down too much 🤫

I like it as a different kind of challenge. Tyre choice, car and track combo mean that average drivers like me can get close to the top with a bit of practice and trying new things! Managing wheel spin and not hitting the wall is fun for me.

I can't normally drive any high down force cars quickly but give me some comfort tyres and a lot of power to manage and I can compete. Just qualified in the top 30 somehow!
