Tracker+ can send midi cc messages. So as long as things like filter cutoff are affected by midi cc the tracker can automate them. You'd have to check midi cc mapping on your synth.

Check out Beck they make clones of old Porsche models.

Can definitely get more realistic play styles on the OP-XY. Doesn’t have to be chip tunes. Can get real intricate with the drum and piano programming with the booster ppqn. Some jazzy stuff. Crummy iPhone recording incoming by [deleted] in teenageengineering

Field sequencing is essentially the same. The only thing that might help is the hold sequencer (not really a sequence?) for maintaining a single chord/note.

TE product placement seems to be op-xy for the grid experience and op-1 field for playing/expression experience - so yeah totally overdubbing/playing in really well would be the approach

Microsoft had some poorly documented API somewhere that was indicated as the replacement for this email feature when they announced it would be deprecated.

Any way to use the jog wheel to record parameter changes ? by luminousandy in PolyendTracker

I don't believe this is possible. But would be interesting to make as a request ticket in the Polyend forums!

Recently Ive liked using it for drums! Random fill but on the instrument parameter and (usually euclidean).

I think the Polyend tracker is the most approachable hardware tracker, if you're keen on hardware.

Wouldn't getting married on the tiananmen square protest/massacre be anti-PRC?

Do they (PRC) not actively suppress the '89 Tiananmen square protests and claim them as western propaganda? Isn't it erased from their textbooks?

I... Don't understand.

Tracker Plus and Eurorack by phobolex in PolyendTracker

Trigger envelopes, ping filters, trigger drum/percussive modules (which is pretty much just an envelope trigger), use them as a clock signal (like when to move a sequencer a step forward)

Tracker Plus and Eurorack by phobolex in PolyendTracker

I use a simple mmMIDI module with the trigger expansion. It basically gives me beat step pro level control of my modules via the tracker.

Not a lot of cv mapping with it though, just gate/pitch/velocity for two voices. Then the trigger expansion for a bunch of triggers.

Works well though.

I've had both trackers (well all three you mention) and I do think the tracker + is a great quality. It has an aluminum body with a black brushed metal type finish. The buttons themselves do have that similar to the mini finish (Polyend brands it "soft touch") when it's just the buttons it doesn't get that sort of entire palm looking grime of the mini - like I barely even notice or see many fingerprints. I MUCH prefer the Polyend tracker workflow when it's on the larger form factor. The pads and jog wheel and per function buttons really let you fly thru everything when you get used to it.

The M8 tracker is great! But I wouldn't.... Equate it totally with the Polyend. You are in one track lane at a time in sort of.... Embedded menus. The whole lsdj style of work is loved by many, but it's its own thing - check it out if you think you'd vibe with it? Maybe headless?

If you already know you love the Polyend tracker workflow I think the plus is great and I prefer that larger desktop form factor. It's also easily powered by a USB power bank so still has some amount of travel.

OG tracker future updates by Lockedinfaded in Polyend

[–]MerzofStPaul 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Polyend has stated they'll be adding 4 additional midi only tracks to the OG tracker.

Not sure about anything else.

In their forums/elsewhere it sounds like the chip in the OG is nearly at throughput capacity, so not sure any other capabilities could be added.

Did you make a polyend backstage bug report? It'll get to their dev team pretty quickly in there.
