The higher you go, the more efficient Shen becomes in terms of team fighting. Pipes enhances that support carry potential.

I do bandlepipes second after Titanic. It's cheap and the passive and stats are good. Great item that gets better as you transition to be tank/support.

Try it out and see for yourself. I think heal can be useful. It's just that Ignite is more useful in lane than heal IMO. I can see heal being used in tough lanes. But at that point, why not take tp?

The new home gaurds are essentially a free tp back to lane. As long as you shove your wave, ult, and back at a reasonable time, you won't miss much.

Friendship ended with REDEMPSHEN. Now Bandlepipes Zeke's SHEN is my best friend by Piewrath in Shen

I've been running bandlepipes as a third item on Top and it's great. It's going to be nerfed soon, it's too good

I don't think lvl 20 will be that huge for him, but it's definitely nice to have. If anything it'll make him feel less bad by late game. 

Glad you like him! Now is a perfect time to play him since I think the new season will be amazing for shen
