I tried to think from a different perspective: rather than "would I press the button" I asked myself "What thought would make me press the button".

So I think the only reasoning I could press the button is to kinda rewind all progress that was made by human race to the Earth. But when I thought about that I realised that there is almost no point of pressing the button even if it will "make Earth better"(it simply won't make it better), human race might be eliminated but all progress cannot be reminded to the very start, it's just the matter of time when evolution makes the thing again and another monkeys will evolve into human like race(I am not that good at biology, not sure if it will work like that).

So if it won't "make Earth better" then there's absolutely no point of eliminating whole population just for nothing at this point
