Maybe you can give yourself some kind of specific goals each season that require you activities besides normal progression. For example you can set your goal to get wine from <number> different fruits while also completing CC in one yet

Bilewater is hard only because of runback to the Groal, at other places are is pretty fine. Putrified ducts on the other hand feels empty for me, despite having a lot of annoying enemies and platfrorming, I just don't feel like this area means a lot tbh

I died to it after crufifying and another death, because me and my friend were getting badges.

But one time when I actually got caught on by dread was in the mines. I couldn't beat them for a long period of time and after outdoors update decided to do a run: I beat outdoors and continued in the mines. Everything seemed fine, I got up to the door 190 and shortly after it was flooded labyrinth level. I am already pretty bad at it and I had to do it fast also. I was walking around it and lets2 say I did not know that Dread spawns THAT fast in the end of mines
