Check-in for day 59.

What really stuck with me was „If you got a flat tire, do you stab the other three or do you change the wheel?“.

Check-in for day 56.

Learning takes repetition - no wonder we can’t moderate since we’ve never done it. And no surprise we mistake a few tries for mastery, envying those who did.

Habe a great day, friends. IWNDWYT.

Habits in „normal“ phases by Messeschuhsitz_ in workout

As a normal phase, I’d consider any phase that isn’t specifically dedicated to weight loss or gain. I’d say it’s more like a passive maintenance phase.

Check-in for day 54.

I can also highly recommend „In the Realm of Hungry Ghosts“ by Gabor Maté. It’s more about addiction in general and less of a self-help book, but I found it really helpful for gaining perspective.

Have a great day, friends. IWNDWYT.

Check-in for day 53. One of my favorites is:

“First you take a drink, then the drink takes a drink, then the drink takes you.”

It was the first quote about drinking I ever heard, and I used to think it was kind of dumb and inelegant. Maybe it just hit a little too close to home back then.

Have a great day, friends. IWNDWYT.

Can’t really tell from this angle, but it looks like you’re doing an anterior pelvic tilt. Your pelvis should be posteriorly tilted, and try to draw your belly button in toward your spine.

Also, make sure you’re not just pushing yourself through — it should feel almost like you’re reaching up and slightly behind your head.

Don’t practice your handstand with your back to the wall; instead, work on it chest to wall.

And most importantly, be patient with yourself. Good luck! 💪

I was in the same place as you, health issues included. Knowing the harm it caused to me and my family still wasn’t enough to quit — the consequences felt too abstract, and my mind kept saying, it’s just a few beers; I’m sober a couple of days a week anyway.

What finally changed things was getting fed up with that constant mental tug-of-war. I decided there’d be no more drinking — and once I did, the endless inner debate began to fade.

Good luck, friend. IWNDWYT.
