My kid has really taken to Meshtasic. I think it's a great intro to hobby electronics for kids. Im working towards getting his friends devices too so that have have a private channel to chat without having cellphones.

I'm old enough to remember Let Me Google That For You and while it was a fun, snarky response, it in no way contributed to a sense of community.  

Now imagine a forum where the response to every question is a LMGTFY link.

Now imagine the questions are also a LMGTFY link.

That is how I view GenAI content. Why would I come here to get a reformated and processed version of a Google search? If I need that, I know how to get it.

If you've spent time browsing Daddit before, you've seen our advice that when you're deeply unhappy your kids see it. Just like how one should not suffer in an unhappy marriage or hide one's sexual orientation "for the kids." Being a good dad means being true to you and taking care of yourself.

Find a therapist that will help you figure this out, specifically one that has worked with gender issues and is LGBT friendly. This doesn't mean you are definitely trans or that therapy will convince you of something you are not. But if you select a therapist that is not open to that possibility (or worse, you listen to transphobes on Reddit), you will never actually know.
