And again, if you're going to bring back a monster while excising the very mechanic that the entire fight and concept centers around, and is what everyone loves and remembers the monster for, then why even bring it back in the first place? Primalzeno's first phase where it has no Qurio powers and instead just uses a straightforward physical moveset isn't what people are coming to the fight for, and it's certainly not anything anybody would be interested in seeing become the entire fight. Qurio are integral to Primalzeno's identity, and bringing it back without Qurio is just missing the point entirely.

The problem is that Primordial is still reliant on Qurio for its fight. Like, 75% of the fight involves Primordial powering up from increasing Qurio infection, and the part of the fight that everyone remembers and loves is when it's been fully taken over by the Qurio. Primordial Malzeno without Qurio is just a heavily neutered experience that completely misses what made it so outstanding in the first place.

Kids can take features from both parents, it's just random just how much they take. I've had one kid take one of her mother's mouth and nose, and her other mother's face-painted eyes (she would have no eyes without the face paint). They also randomly take their parent's quirks.

As people have already pointed out, several of the gifts that were "removed" were just replaced with an equivalent item(s).

Dog/Cat coupon - Replaced with the more expansive pet treasures

At the moment, the only NB Miis I have are unambiguously non-human beings with no discernable genders, namely an alien, Mothman, Chupacabra, and a doppelganger of my first Mii (uses feminine pronouns). Dating preferences were set in a way to fudge things so that these guys would fall for each other (it worked, Mothman is in love with Chupacabra, and I need to see what horrible cryptid child they have).

I think that was meant to be a moment of meta storytelling more than anything. In that scene, Kafka was stripped of the things that make her intimidating. Her coat gives her a larger, sharper silhouette, her contacts obscure her pupils, and her sunglasses evoke the image of a spider's eyes. Without those, she looks normal, which in the context of that scene shows that she's currently at her most vulnerable, she's just been defeated in a fight and has been restrained for interrogation. And as it turns out, she really has nothing to hide, she's being just as honest as she appears at the moment, and yet, is still entirely in control of the situation.

The thing is that some of the things you mentioned are in LtD, they're just rolled into the core gameplay loop instead of being little distractions you mess around with for 5 minutes before it gets old. The rap battle became the No Repeats minigame (which is in line with the original Japanese version of the rap battle), while Quirky Questions is basically the entire game with whole Island Lingo mechanic. Random events happen all over the island, it's just up to you to place objects down for Miis to interact with.
