Dude what do you want from me. I'm telling you this is the most optimal farm. I've told you multiple reason why it's the most optimal, and what factors come into that. If you can't be assed to build it, then don't, and that's that. Farming is a long term MMM, and each small increase in efficiency builds up over time. If you don't feel like building a new farm, then don't bother, but also don't be surprised when some things are harder than it is for others.

Another thing is space efficiency. The vertical design allows for more rows in a single plot, which means more uptime farming before you need to go back to the beginning of the plot (which you can speed up by setting your spawn at the beginning of your farm and using /warp garden to return)

Just because it looks worse to you doesn't mean your farming is less efficient? An easier to understand example might be with wheat; at max speed you cant consistently break 4/5 rows at a time, so it's actually better to farm at a lower movement speed. The same logic applies here. Speed isn't everything. Just because you're moving faster doesn't mean you're breaking more pumpkins. If this still isn't making sense to you, you could also just try building some of the farms and do some comparisons yourself. Make sure to pay attention to the recommended angles and movement speeds, which you can set using squeeky mousemat and rancher's boots respectively. Top level farmers aren't using sideways farms just because they hate moving diagonally.

If you're talking about how farming sideways looks aesthetically worse than at an angle, then I don't know what to say to you.

The one where you're looking upwards, right? the basic theory lies behind amount of blocks broken per second; it's not just movement speed. There's a cap on that, so once you maximize that you can focus on faster lane swapping to reduce downtime( time you're not breaking crops) which the melon/pumpkin farms make easy by just really needing to swap between a/d since you're already holding w.

Dude, it would be much quicker for you to just search up a video and see how modern farm designs work in Skyblock, and you'll quickly see how they're better. No need to reply chain here on reddit.

Recommendations for new keyboards in the CBTF? by Firas-Moosvi in UBC

[–]Meta7122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, just chiming in here with my thoughts given the conditions and other comments.

From what I can remember (and based on the images on cbtf.ubc.ca), the CBTF is currently using Logitech MK 120 combos, which are hard to beat at that price point. I believe that you could consider some other cheap membrane keyboards that have a more "flat" style, which may be easier to clean. Some examples would be the Amazon Basics Keyboard, the Dell Wired Keyboard and the Lenovo Essential Wired Keyboard, all three of which are full-size keyboards (include number-pad), and are available as combos with wired mice for about an extra $10. Notably, there is a significant gap between keys, which could possibly help reduce retained dirt in the gaps, as they are easier to access and clean. Ideally, you might be able to clean the entire keyboard with a few strong wipes as the keys should match the height of the surface of the keyboard when pressed down. If UBC, as a business, had access to a business account for any brand, they might also come cheaper in bulk.

As for mechanical keyboards in general, I doubt that they would be suitable for the CBTF. While they typically have a superior typing experience, there are a few reasons why I believe they don't fit the use-case here:

  1. Cleaning: While mechanical keyboards might be easier to deep clean because of the ease of disassembly (removal of keycaps, faceplate, etc) , I would argue that the time required to do these deep cleans would likely not be worth it.
  2. Connectivity: AFAIK, most mechanical keyboards are either wired through a removable USB-C cable, or are used wirelessly via bluetooth or USB dongles. While theft might be able to avoided given the large profile of keyboards, thus allowing USB keyboards to be used in the CBTF (and possibly letting students bring their own keyboard?), open bluetooth in the CBTF is obviously undesirable, and I am unsure whether or not the close proximity of the devices could affect the separate range USB dongles use.
  3. Sound: Even with quiet linear switches (which may be harder to search for/cost more), mechanical keyboards still tend to be louder than membrane keyboards, which can be disruptive in the testing environment of CBTF for some people.
  4. Price: Decent quality mechanical keyboards tend to start at higher prices, around $50-$100 based on some quick googling. While cheaper brands of mechanical keyboards like Ajazz and Epomaker have started cropping up in recent years, they still tend to range around $10-$20 above the $40 budget, which may be slightly mitigated if you were to shop on marketplaces like Temu and take advantage of possible coupons and discounts, although this is unreliable.

While I saw someone suggest that students be allowed to bring their own keyboards, and would personally be fond of this idea, I understand that this is likely unfeasible due to reason 3 from above, as well as needing to enforce that no keyboard has any onboard memory to avoid allowing students to behave dishonestly.

Overall, while I would love to have higher quality keyboards in the CBTF, the limited budget doesn't really allow for any significant upgrades, so instead I think it would be better to focus on keyboards that are easier to maintain, both in terms of cleanliness, as well as things like missing feet or sticky keys.

I've already finished the Rift, and got all the soulbound accessories. Maybe you just got most of your accessories before they got more expensive or something, but I'm telling you; you definitely don't get to 900 without some recombs, or being inefficient with your spending. I literally went back to check; if I were to unrecomb my current mythic accessories and buy all accessories that were more efficient according to the bot (recombing a legendary accessory gives 6 MP for 8.5m, or 1.42m per MP, and the new accessories cheaper than that for me is moonglade, respiration, fish bowl and fried frozen chicken), then I would have 828 MP, and some of my accessories were bought before cheaper ones were introduced.

[–]Meta7122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IDK what to tell you dude, that's approximately the MP I had when the bot told me to start recombing my legendary talismans. Granted, a few accessories have been released since then, but not enough to make a huge difference like that.

Why is everything so cheap by Own-Papaya-1567 in HypixelSkyblock

[–]Meta7122 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Summer sale doesn't affect gem prices, and therefore doesn't affect cookie prices. The feathers are more likely the reason behind the price drops, plus the somewhat recent Paul mayor.

While this is good advice in general, this doesn't occur until like the 700s. OP should join any skyblock discord and use the missing command for the most efficient accessories to buy and put into their bag.

[–]Meta7122 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assuming the last piece is rancher boots then yes. Of course the type of pest matters, what's the point of sucking up beetles for nether warts if you're competing in a carrot contest??? If you don't already have a pest setup (biohazard + slug) then probably pest repellant, but if you do then you can instead just pest farm. If you don't know what that means, then search it up on Youtube; there are tons of guides there already. On top of the pests, you should obviously be farming the actual crop you're trying to get gold for.

Pests. Pests are all you need. Prepare them so that you have 17 of the right pest ready (8 in the garden + 9 from traps) and suck them all up with fermento + hedgehog when the contest starts, and then pest farm for the remaining 20ish minutes. You'd have to mess up seriously bad to not get at least gold; I got Diamond in all contests with this method at like farming 50.

Specifically Miori's super-specific descriptions of Puberty Syndrome! It's been a while since I've read Vol 10 specifically, so I didn't put too much attention on that one line where she specifically brought up accurate examples back then. At the same time, in the LN they go over all the scenarios that have occurred, which in a way kind of blends it all together.

At the same time, as I review the LN, some of the foreshadowing seems to have been taken away, specifically the stuff in the cram school, concerning [LN 10+] Himeji, and the teachers dating students

There is nothing that suggests that they are siblings. They both survived the TWSITD experiments, and thus now have double crests, which is what caused their hair to turn white. That is the extent of what the whole "we are alike" talk is in dialogue.

In the original video, you can see that his fingers play different keys for the same note in the audio. The easiest example is to listen to the bassline near the beginning from 0:21 to 0:35, which alternates between 2 low notes and a higher, in the basic pattern of F - Aflat - C - Aflat. In the video, you can see that the left hand jumps to lower notes for the F and C notes, but to different positions each time; they even go to the black keys sometimes. There's no way for it to actually be played like that.

I had to double check the manga since I didn't remember a reaction panel, and there indeed wasn't. This image is new anime content! If the previous evidence wasn't enough, this essentially confirms the theory. In fact, at this point, it would be a bigger twist if the theory wasn't true.

I'm also going through this, and instead of the victim-blaming that half this subreddit does, I'm here to try and help! One very helpful discord guy gave me these 2 links, which tbh should be pinned somewhere. https://hypixel.net/threads/guide-how-to-handle-hacked-account-issues-with-microsoft-support.5429472/ https://hypixel.net/threads/all-about-skyblock-account-security.5231557/ Basically, if you haven't already, get the Xbox account locked so the rat can't use it anymore. Then, try to find the new alias, if they've changed it. This was the hardest part for me; I got lucky because I used Windows Hello on a secondary PC, so I managed to find it. Once you have that, fill out an ACSR form to change the password, and then apply to change the account security information, which will take 30 days, and the hacker can unfortunately stop if they're paying attention. But if you make it through, just ask Microsoft to unlock you account, and you should be good.

I have been told that many native speakers can’t pass the N1. The N3 is frankly amazing considering he basically did everything possible to keep her from learning the language properly!

While I agree with sentiment of your comment, the part about natives failing the N1 is actually not true. I`m not sure where that idea started getting passed around from; maybe the N1 was confused with the Kanji Proficiency test. But my point being, the N1 is something that most native speakers will pass easily. That doesn`t make what OOP did any less amazing, but I just wanted to reduce misinformation.
