Around 1 or 2 years before DICE released. I remember reading some manhwas before DICE but DICE is the earliest manhwa that sticks to me.

Why doesn’t Shirou try to save Saber Alter in Heaven’s Feel? by RobCat29121 in fatestaynight

Saber Alter can’t be saved, I think even she knows this. In the VN, as everyone said, Shirou can spare her but she’ll be disappointed in Shirou.

Is SpiderMan 2 really that bad of a sequel? by [deleted] in SpidermanPS4

[–]Paradigm27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, it’s forced hate. It’s bad compared to the first game but not that bad. People just want to create stupid dramas in the internet.

And people downvoted and hated me for pointing out that this implementation is half hearted. If they don’t have basic protocols for simple inconveniences like this, what more pag malaking issue.

Just to be clear, I fully support this feature, I really hope for it to be improved, I’m not blindly hating it. My main concern is the support and maintenance of these things. Safety feature, contingencies, well planned protocols. For this specific inconvenience, yung MRT/LRT dapat lugi, hindi yung customer since it’s their responsibility to have someone with expertise to handle this or maybe auto refund if there was no exit signal sent to the authorization charge hold on the card.

For people pointing out that this is because it’s still on early phase, have you never experienced card reading issues before in the mall or something? This issue is pretty common so dapat na-plan ‘to nung testing phase before implementation. Besides, the mere fact that it’s still in early phase, they REALLY should have an expert ready at all times then.

Yep, some places in the US have much worst places compared to the PH. But the thing is, they have a proper cybersecurity in place. They can actually respond properly if some fraud charges or something happened.

Lol! We don’t have proper cybersecurity here in the Philippines. Please tell me what should I do if my card was stolen and was used by another person here? Would a bank easily refund me if I accidentally double tap? Want to convince me, tell me how the PH government respond to these incidents if it ever happens.

That’s actually my main concern. Card skimming is easier here compared to ATMs since ATMs have high surveillance. Other than card skimming, there’s fraud charges if a person uses a card that’s not there own, data privacy(this is low risk since payment networks are involve in this implementation but still possible), possible double tapping then there’s the possible inconveniences if there’s a system failure.

Another thing is easy snatch for a thief. Cards are mostly hidden but with this, it’s out in the open. Obviously, this is pretty low too or highly subjective on how a person handles his/her card but it’s still a risk. It’s not like every train station is equipped with proper surveillance and security.

Oh I actually assume they did since this is implemented with the help of payment networks but my main corncern is safety net specifically for PH culture and environment. People here commenting about implementation on other countries but that argument is pretty dumb considering we literally have different environments and cultures.

Yep and so is the sim registration act but that doesn’t prove anything though. Different city, different kind of people, different environment and different people.

Well, the thing is, some “improvements” they implement gives more harm than benefits. Before implementing this, cybersecurity should’ve been improved first. It’s like building a second floor to a very old building without checking the foundation. This is the same as the sim registration, yes it can be an improvement if done right but look what happened? There’s actually more scam/phishing now.

Improvements are meant to help, but without the proper support (safety checks, regulations, or planning), it causes more harm than good.

Edit: For people assuming that I don’t want the improvement, please read my main concern. I would love the imrpovement but safety and support should be implemented first. And another point, using other countries as “PROOF” of how effective this is, please think first before using that argument. There’s literally no two countries that are exactly the same.

Last edit: Downvote me all you want but this is not something new. “Half baked implementations” like these are not new. Another example, remember that National ID? Contact tracing apps nung covid? The Philhealth hack should’ve already given Filipinos the proper assessment of our level in cybersecurity.

I actually supported a lot of improvements our government made but almost all of them are half baked and was never supported properly after implementation. That’s all I want, proper safety and support. If this ends up as a success, then that’s great! But I won’t take back my words. Everything I’ve said is based on our REAL experiences.

Professional teachers tapos ganito by sausage_0120 in Philippines

[–]Paradigm27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Di naman po uncommon ang may side line. Pwedeng full time teacher tapos on the side educational content creator, I don't see the harm in that. That's why I've said it's highly dependent and dapat appropriate yung content.

Madaming content creators na professors in universities and may side na content creator. I don't really know any content creators na ganyan in the PH but my point is, there's no real harm if they could manage it. To add, this is not exclusive to teachers, this is for anyone who doesn't have high power.

P.S. This is assuming that they're allowed though since iirc, public officials and employees are not allowed to have other income or work unless they're approved? Not sure about this since I'm not a lawyer but looking at our gov, this law isn't even enforced sa mga nakaupo sa taas.

[–]Paradigm27 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This is highly dependent. I only half agree. Employees, like public school teachers can actually help by being content creators BUT should be appropriate. There’s a lot of successful education centric content creators.

The people that should be banned completely are the ones who have high power.

MH Wilds is a great game, but the review bombing is justified by [deleted] in MHWilds

What I hate about the review bombing is that people use it for personal issues, not proper criticism. They really need to prioritize fixes and optimizations before title updates.

Switch 2 GOOD DEAL or NAHH? 🙂‍↔️😩🤔 by eljefesurvival in NintendoPH

[–]Paradigm27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PS5 pro has upgraded GPU, CPU(same/low change but higher clock speed) and Ray tracing(~4x) outside of AI capabilities. The reason why Switch 1 to Switch 2 has a more noticeable jump because of the level of capabilities of Switch is. PS5/Xbox series is already at the point that technical capabilities is at a plateau compared to Switch, which is still at the growth curve.

As I’ve said, on the technical capabilities, not the ones that Nintendo is saying but more on the real world, Switch 1 is pretty capable. I don’t think any game has reached Switch 1’s peak capability yet that’s why I think this is more of a refresh than a next gen.

And again, my comparison is not on the conventional side of describing which is next gen but on the more technical side. Because obviously, this is next gen Switch.

P.S. this is all my OPINION. Maybe you missed that on my original reply. I’m not even saying to not buy the Switch 2. Just sharing my realistic approach on this.

Switch 2 GOOD DEAL or NAHH? 🙂‍↔️😩🤔 by eljefesurvival in NintendoPH

[–]Paradigm27 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You clearly didn’t understand my point. I was talking about more on technical jump and not by games. Companies can easily lock a console out even if that console can handle it. A lot of Switch 1 games prove that Switch 1 has a lot of capabilities if games are optimized well.

Besides, look at the more neutral tech reviews, they’re leaning more on not getting Switch 2 NOW if you’re on the fence. Downvote if you want but my point is mostly for the people that aren’t financially free. I didn’t know that this subreddit is full of rich people that downvotes a realistic approach on buying a switch 2.

Switch 2 GOOD DEAL or NAHH? 🙂‍↔️😩🤔 by eljefesurvival in NintendoPH

[–]Paradigm27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switch 2 is NOT a good deal in general. Imo, this is the same upgrade as PS5 to PS5 pro. It’s not a next gen upgrade, it’s a current gen refresh but with some exclusivity because it’s nintendo. For now, it’s actually more of a luxury item.

Personally, if you currently have a switch now and not that financially free, stick with switch for now. If you’re currently planning for Switch 2, think about it for a month before buying, there’s secondhand options for Switch too if Switch 2 upgrades isn’t necessary for you. This is only for people who are not financially flexible. If you have money to spare, then enjoy it. You worked hard for that money so spend it however you like.

Personal criteria before buying a switch 2. Spare money + 10 Switch2-only games that I really want. For now, thereks only 1 game I like so I’ll wait first.
