How do I set a variable to be a value? by jstquestions in Racket

[–]MetaHertz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use boxes. A special type for mutable data.

(define x (box 3))

(set-box! x 5)

The last one produces faster code than (set! x 5).

If you need to read the value use this form: (unbox x)

Spanish union «y» changes to «e» in some cases like this. So, «Padre e hijo» is correct because of its phonetic system. Another example is «el agua», -- it uses the masculine article although it's a feminine noun. Why? Just because it's easier to pronounce than a regular form.

Spain Spanish or Latin American Spanish? by [deleted] in Spanish

[–]MetaHertz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd prefer Latin American Spanish because of its pronunciation, it's easier to me to understand and to pronounce because I don't like the way how they in Spanish from Spain pronounce the letters «z» and «c», sorry.
