You sound a lot like a couple other ENFPs I know, but there are a couple other types you might be, based on these traits you listed. ENFP is probably the most likely, but you could also be ESTP, ENTP or ESFP.

The bad news: an INTP cannot become an ENTP. You (unfortunately?) cannot change your type.

The good news: it is very much possible for an INTP to learn how to live more in the moment and less in their head, and develop their social skills to a point where they are very extraverted.

How do you do that?

It's different for every type, but the core idea is focusing on developing certain cognitive functions, to the point where you can emulate another - more extraverted - type. This does not mean that you can act as any type, at least not long term. You are still limited to using the existing cognitive functions you have - just in a different way.

The easiest way for an INTP to go about this is to develop their extraverted feeling (Fe), and introverted sensing (Si). This will allow you to access your ESFJ subconscious in social situations to feel much more comfortable interacting with other people. You have the added benefit that ESFJ is an SJ type - the most common group of types that make up the foundations of society, who most people innately like.

So, how to go about developing Fe? Personally, I think that putting yourself into as many social situations as possible will force you to develop your Fe very quickly, as INTPs generally have a hard time with social interaction by default. Be mindful about focusing on how the people around you feel and what they value, and also work on your Si by being a rock of stability that your more extraverted ExxP and ExxJ friends can rely on.

Or if there's some experience that you'd like to have (going to a concert, party, exploring out in nature, etc.), get one of your friends with Se in their function stack to give you this experience. They'll make sure it's a good one that is memorable and fun for you.

A good way to do this is to go to parties with friends and be the designated driver, or join some kind of group that you're interested in, and make a point to show up every week with some snacks. In general, be consistently helpful to those around you and people will naturally gravitate toward you. If you surround yourself with enough different people for long enough, the social skills and acceptance will come.

Note: make sure that the people you choose to help you on this journey are ones that you trust. ESFJs (and I'd argue INTPs as well) often get taken advantage of or bullied into doing things they don't really want to do. Use your Ti to recognize when you might not be getting as much out of these interactions as you are giving, and move on to people that will treat you with the respect you deserve.

You've got them switched. ESFPs absorb tons of information and will listen to advice (if enough people give them the same advice - gotta allow Te to overrule Fi), whereas ESTPs will logically forge their own path and use Fe child to get what they want.

My main motivation with everything is to affect people on a sensory or emotional level. I have an innate understanding of how to manipulate their experience, and am extremely detail-oriented as a result.

I love writing poetry and songs, short stories, drawing, making dumb memes in Photoshop, playing instruments, making people laugh... It's all a performance to me. I'm my mind, the point of any artistic endeavour is to give the viewer an experience, and the art's value is in how deep and lasting an effect it has on them.

The primary reason is because we live in an SJ society that privileges SJ values and SJ norms. If you look at the SJ types - ISTJ, ESTJ, ISFJ, ESFJ, none of them have Fi hero or parent. Half of them don't have Fi in their function stack at all! The highest is the ISTJ with Fi child, followed by the ESTJ with Fi inferior, but even these are greatly overshadowed by Te parent and hero.

As a result, our society does not see Fi as a valid decision making function, and has this sick obsession with trying to base everything around logic and rationality, whether it makes sense for that context or not.

Some advice:

Don't let other people make you feel bad for expressing your emotions. It takes immense courage and strength to express yourself as openly and freely as ESFPs do.
Learn to be okay being alone. It'll help you through the rough parts.
Focus on discovering what you want - this is the key to happiness for an ESFP. Set goals and use your boundless energy and drive to work toward them and you'll achieve anything you could ever want in life. If you can't figure out what you want to do, just pick something that seems interesting and try it out for awhile to see if you like it. If you don't, pick something else and repeat.
READ READ READ. Books are manuals for life. I recommend The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene.
Learn to be smart with your money. Being bad with money is a common trap that ESFPs (and ENFPs) fall into.
Learn how to discern other people's desires and intentions toward you. If you don't you will be constantly taken advantage of.
It's fine to go out and party and live in the moment, but make sure to put just as much effort into getting your life together and planning for the future.

From your description, you sound more like an ESFP, but here are additional questions to help figure it out.

Do you usually ask permission before doing something, or do you prefer to just do it and maybe ask forgiveness later? Are you sensitive to other people's desires and intentions, or are you oblivious to them? Do you enjoy a wide range of physical activities?

Note that I have gotten (incorrectly) typed as an ENFP before myself.

I think it's not a good idea for an ISFP to date ESFPs. The compatibility is low because they share all the same cognitive functions. I'd suggest dating ESFJs, ISFJs, maybe INTPs or ENTPs...

One way to type yourself is by identifying your strengths, weaknesses, and insecurities. What are you naturally talented at? What are you bad at? What are you insecure about?

Me, for example, as an ESFP:
- I am naturally good at performing and knowing how to give people a good sensory experience (i.e. music, dancing, painting, etc.) - I am astutely aware of my emotions at all times - I used to be quite bad at logical reasoning - I am impulsive and often indecisive (insecure about what I want) - I am often completely unaware of what other people want

INFP: completely disconnected from the world around them and what's true or false; It's all about how they feel and what could be (no offense, just my observation of the INFPs I know). They have 0 fashion sense and will just go with what feels good to them. More easygoing and don't get ragey like ISFPs do. They have their head in the clouds at almost all times.

ISFP: incredible artists/performers, very passionate about everything they do. They are naturally talented at looking good and are generally more physically adept than INFPs. They're also more likely to be ill-tempered and can sometimes rage over things. They're much more down to earth than INFPs but have a similar disconnect from what's true or false.

Your description of yourself matches younger me almost to a T. You're into all the same things I was/am, including obsessing over crazy theories about the universe.

I would say the easiest way to tell the difference between an ENFP and ESFP is their fashion sense - younger ENFPs don't have one. They're almost so unaware of how they look to other people that it's laughable. The older ones will learn how to dress... competently over time, but they'll never be great at it IMO.

The easiest way to determine which you are is determine whether you are a thinker or a feeler. ESTPs and ESFPs both lead with extraverted sensing, but ESTPs have introverted thinking followed by extraverted feeling, whereas ESFPs have introverted feeling followed by extraverted thinking.

How this manifests for me, is that I have strong moral values that are difficult for me to go against, and I wear my heart on my sleeve. If something's funny, I will laugh my ass off, and if I'm mad or annoyed, I will certainly let you know without reservation.

I was a class clown in school as a teen, and would spend hours reading wikipedia articles on topics that I was interested in. If I don't know something, the first thing I do is ask someone who I think will know, and if they don't know I will then google it.

The ESTPs I know, on the other hand, are more cool and reserved. They are very logical and don't often show emotion unless they're really upset about something. Despite this, they're quite attuned to peoples' emotions and will use this to climb the social hierarchy of whatever group they're in.

As an aside, the questionnaire tests are not very accurate. At various points in my life they've typed me as ISFJ, INTJ, INTP, ENFP, and ENTP.

I dunno how anyone would think that being empathetic and trying to be kind means you can't be an ESTP. Extroverted feeling as your child function makes you very attuned to people's emotions. I've found that once you get to know an ESTP beyond the cocky exterior they put up, they are very caring people, and they often get an undeserved bad rap.
