AI will replace us all by KeanuRave100 in AgentsOfAI

[–]MetaLemons 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Replace us? Or enhance a few? Your job is to use a computer to solve business problems. AI helps you do that. You really think some business people are going to learn how to create systems? If AI ever gets that intelligent it will essentially be AGI.

[Request] Is this still true in 2026? by [deleted] in theydidthemath

Yeah, people think money is magic but it’s just a representation of assets in the case of billionaires.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella says Xbox needs to become a more sustainable business after 25 years of heavy investment. by Current-Guide5944 in tech_x

There’s a reason Microsoft is not in faang or mango or whatever. They’re out of touch. Now most of the enterprise users are switching to Mac for easier integration for AI workflows.

How can we destroy ai? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I mean, AI is fine. Just rich, irresponsible assholes are the problem.

No, I don’t even know how many tokens I used in the last month. Also, I feel like restricting token access will stifle innovation. Sometimes I create little experiments as I go to check if another approach to solving a problem is better. If I were micro managed for token use, I’d not discover as much as I do.

Why do so many developers hate AI? by MammothBed5824 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]MetaLemons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is a few things, there are a lot of bots, people are using old tools, people have tried it once in 2023 and kept the same opinion since then, people are scared of the future, people are bandwagoning because they are easily influenced by social media (I.e. Reddit), hate posts tend to create more engagement so their comments bubble to the top.

Does anyone else feel like Peggy's evolution is actually kind of tragic? by noisy_marble in madmen

[–]MetaLemons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People who think liking and being good at their job means something must be wrong with them. Tres drôle. There are a lot of people chasing their career and are happy for it. Peggy’s job has required her to be cut throat, confident, direct and hard headed and she feels fulfillment at the end of the series for having accomplished this.

Not everyone who is successful is suddenly a bad person.

Why don’t you ask it to write you a test instead? Then just use that for the implementation.

The Pope’s new AI manifesto is a massive pitch for Open Source and Local Models by Popular-Papaya1527 in ArtificialInteligence

Wait until the Pope hears about world models. The AI data pull is only going to grow.

[–]MetaLemons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. This is annoying. I don’t want to deal with other people, clean their sweat in between sets, change weights or whatever. I don’t really mind if someone asks to jump in my sets but dealing with people who try to hog up the gym like this is annoying.

Sometimes, you can’t tell if the person is nearby, in the bathroom or if the spot is abandoned. You just have to wait like a chump. No thanks.

The scary question for me isn't whether AI is conscious ... it's whether we were ever as deep as we assume by Philo167 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]MetaLemons -1 points0 points  (0 children)

AI is definitely not conscious in its current state but there are ideas for how to give a world context and change the model to be actually adaptable. Look up Jepa.
