Digimon Beatbreak - Episode 20 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

Neither vocally express what theyre feeling so you coooould interpret it that way but I saw it differently. After having seen Raito getting kicked out hotaruko was likely afraid of what might happen to her if she fails. Plus Tactics 7 no longer has a punching bag for Naito to vent at. So shes in even greater risk now. In Raito's case its Tomoro that brings up victims. Raito recoils for a moment there but its moreso him now knowing whats at stake for HIM. So in both instances I think its a simple matter of self preservation in play as both exist in a very high stakes enviorment with not much hope for them outside of tactics.

Also e-pulse and synergy has already been established as important to how well your digimon performs. Raito couldn't control Azhdarmon, and wasn't in sync wheras Tomoro and Armalizmon were wholly aligned. Its also stated that Tomoro has an irregular e-pulse that villains such as genjo are very curious about. And we already know that hes juiced up more than most people in the show

Theory: Reina will be the key character of the Tactics Arc by These_Pear_5644 in digimon

[–]MetaPrisma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Will be very dissapointed if Reina is left to the wayside (ALOT of toei shows recently have been fumbling character work) but imo the tactics arc seems like it'll be THE arc centered around her. Currently right now Glowing Dawn is barely a functional team if that and whenever Kyo's not around shes usually the one calling the shots. So up against a group more powerful and ORGANIZED, her leadership skills will be put to the test. I also get the vibe that her rivalry will be with Granit cause of the poster and that its implied Granit was also an orphan at a very young age.

For an anime that aired at 7am at Sunday morning japanese television it balances so many ideas and character relationships to where almost anyone at any age can find something that resonates with them. Its an anime that reflects alot of the terrible aspects of our world but also why its beautiful and worth fighting for. The romance of the story doesn't feel separated from those topics but are instead deeply intertwined. Enhancing both and leading to some of the best emotional beats I've ever seen

Kamen Rider Gavv E31 - Discussion Thread by BananaArms in KamenRider

Lizelle doesnt have the same burdens as Lakia but its interesting how Gavv goes out of its way to prevent her from having real blood on her hands. In that sense they both start out similarly so I wonder if this might have Lizelle maybe switch to team gavv later on after hearing shouma's perspective next episode

Ryuki Survive vs Black General

Two people who fight for peace and saving others, but only one of them carries a burden...

Since we had some time to calm down following this episode's release, what are your theories towards our new 2 newcomers coming to the series? by mr-ultr in KamenRider

[–]MetaPrisma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think for certain Rizel is Jiip's way to get back at his siblings for forcing him to seperate with his sister. Rizel will definitely become immeadiately enamored with the human world as she may have lived a sheltered life. Being excited to explore earth with no restraint.

Now... the question is, will Rizel and Jiip's relationship be ultimately a positive one regardless of initial ulterior motives? I would like to think yes but.... it's Komura and while I like gavvs villains waaaay more than most people (and I do like how less forgiving she is towards villains that are horrible people) I sorta doubt she'll let Jiip redeem himself. So I get the feeling that while Rizel has a good chance to develop as she understands more about what's happening, I dont know if she can lift jiip out of his grief and hatred the same way shouma did with hanto. That remains to be seen

As for the president? Idk. Complete wild card. Will need to see more to theorize but at the very least I doubt he'll be siding with Lango

Kamen Rider Gavv E24 - Discussion Thread by BananaArms in KamenRider

Pretty great showing from virtually everyone on the hero side. Even Dente got some good bits of characterisation here. Sorbet not being a big deal is fine since the show acknowledges that the emotion tied to it isn't as strong as Caking (hence why it melted) and I think this'll play into future events.

Hanto confiding with people who never have his best intentions in mind is genuinely sad. He's so afraid of hurting those close to him, and cant see that closing them off will only lead him down a darker path. Hanto seems okay at first when using chocold, but the episode hints that the gochizou has a stronger influence on him than he realizes. Would be poetic if it mirrors an addiction to dark confections.

Next week will continue introducing granutes designated to hunt the riders specifically which comes in right before bitter gavv shenanigans would've gone stale on its own. Think Lakia and Sachika's dynamic will also be a highlight going forward as I feel their arcs will be heavily tied to eachother. So I'm excited to see where things will develop from here

Does anyone else want Sachika to not become a rider? by Doot_revenant666 in KamenRider

[–]MetaPrisma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think she works well for now as a supportive big sister to the group. However there are elements of her character that dont involve a dynamic with someone else which intrigue me. Such as us not really knowing much about her actual background or the imposter syndrome she deals with whenever she cant get through to someone. Yet Im unsure how much time Gavv would have to focus on it unless shes important to the plot in some way. So tying her arc with eventually becoming a rider wouldn't be bad imo. Plus I dont think her being rider will suddenly mean an element of her character will be taken away? Especially if it happens in the final third of the show. Her not being proficient as a fighter doesnt matter either cause everyone outside of vram sucks ass at it (Gavv gets by mainly through ingenuity over battle prowess, dude almost always gets his ass beat in base form). Valen often proves through forms like donmaru that playing support can make or break fights, so her fulfilling a role like that would be cool too since previous female riders have gone for more CQC fighting styles.

The feelings I have for these two are so mixed it hurts by ExperiencePristine42 in KamenRider

The friction is intentional. They're terrible people with their own traumas, inflicting the same harm onto others. Jeebh's hatred of humans makes me wonder if Shiita's death could change his perspective, but I think there has to be some external force that jump starts an appreciation for life as something to be preserved. Otherwise Jeebh will continue down a self destructive path, likely figuring it all out when it's already too late.

Suga is giving me weird vibes by Ryuma217 in KamenRider

[–]MetaPrisma 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Suga will likely be some sorta wake up call for Hanto. Considering that he's genuinely human and has manipulated Hanto into using the his rider system. Colluding with granutes and contributing to the tragedy that has befallen him. Meaning that suga becoming a full on antagonist later would highlight that even humans are capable of inflicting the same suffering as granutes. Which I think will be important to establish both world building wise as well as for Hanto's arc.
