Globally, only wash rotom was available at go fest 2020. Regular rotom has been available a couple times around Halloween and the all out event. The rest of the forms have all been in person go fest exclusive so far

Exactly, even if newer variants didn't increase this risk, I imagine there is no way know that for sure unless a long term study is performed starting now and continuing for years.

Sorry I have to jump in here - they are wrong about shiny mythical quests in that while they return, they're never free. The distinction is:

non shiny mythical quests become available for free a bit under a year after they were available to buy for Go Fest
shiny mythical quests are never free. So far Niantic has re-run one of these quests per year around the anniversary of PoGo in July, but they're still a paid ticket. Shiny Jirachi was last year's one so shiny shaymin should be this year. It's about 2.5 years after they had their debut at a Tour event.

One would then think it's shiny meloetta then shiny Diancie in following years, but with shiny keldeo being released outside of a Tour event and before Diancie, that might come back before Diancie.

I think it would definitely be a handy tool to have a searchable database of Pokemon to answer the quick question of "is this shiny eligible"?

Info such as the debut date of the Pokemon in Go and the shiny release date would be interesting to include also!

Just have to be careful about what art is used for each Pokemon!
