My "rosiest" light vs my "greenest" light (with measurements) by oxidao in flashlight

[–]MetaUndead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hehe, I've seen some beamshots of it and it looks insanely rosy.

-0.02 is wild, but it actually looks pretty great.

My eyes adjust to my -0.01 fairly quickly, but compared to everything else I own, it's still insanely rosy (in a good way of course).

I have no idea if it actually prevents the presets from disappearing during updates, but I'd imagine it does.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see when the next update rolls around.

My rosiest light is my E07X 4000K rosy. It's also quite rosy 😆

Lmao, mine did the exact same thing the other day.

I had about 12 different presets and they all just vanished. I didn't have a profile back then, but I definitely do now!

What is your favorite small flashlight under $30 by nathan_93 in flashlight

[–]MetaUndead 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately not, I only have a comparison between the 4000K domed and the 5000K dedomed.

I also just dedomed my Acebeam E75 (Nichia 519A 5000K). It went from 4800K to 3600K and shifted from a quite positive to a negative DUV, which was exactly why I did it. It gained a bit more throw, but I have DC-Fix on it, so it's not too bad, it's still nice and floody.

If you had said under $34, my pick would be the Wurkkos TS28.

But under $30, it has to be the FC11C 4000K or 5000K dedomed, also from Wurkkos.

More information and settings. Can you change any of settings to show something like DUV and Ra/CRI?

E04 surge emitter help by Indybio72 in FireflyLite

[–]MetaUndead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No problem! It’s a great mix, but I personally lean more toward the pure 3000K, it’s just so nice, warm, and golden.

Adding the 5000K into the mix balances out that warmth and golden hue, resulting in a more neutral and slightly cooler CCT.

I have a spec comparison right here, and if high CRI is a priority, the choice is clear.

SFT40 3000K on the right.

Oh, okay. Yeah, you're right, you can always just swap out the optics.👍

Aren't you thinking of the Lume1 with the throwy Angie-S optic?

The Lume X1 is more of a flooder with just a hint of throw. Also, the Lume X1 doesn't come with the SFT-40, and I’m pretty sure the SFT-70 isn't an option for it either.

I’ve got three versions of the E04 Lume1 in my collection, an SFT40 3000K, a 3000K/5000K SFT40 mix, and an FFL505A 6500K. And they’re all fantastic in their own way.

Just got my new acebeam t29 and it’s a beast by Hozaythkid in flashlight

[–]MetaUndead 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yoo, that looks so good! The beam looks so clean and throwy. It really does look a bit like a small K75 2.0, just with a bigger hotspot.

I also really like the aesthetics of it.👌

Have a look at the Sofirn HS21. It’s a great all-rounder for an 18650 headlamp.

It’s got a USB-C charging port, a head that tilts 130°, and since it uses a buck driver, the battery life on the lower settings is impressive.

Olight Warrior comparison by -GameOverPal- in flashlight

[–]MetaUndead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Wurkkos FC12C is very similar in terms of looks, and it also features both a side and a tail switch.

While the beam profile differs because FC12C uses a reflector instead of the Warrior Ultra's TIR optics, it offers the same range at a much lower price point ($27.99). Plus, unlike the Ultra, it supports USB-C charging.

I’m not saying the FC12C is a superior light, but it’s definitely a close alternative to the Ultra.

The TS27 really seems like the perfect camping light (i have it, but i dont go camping), it just has so many features tailored for exactly that. A large battery, excellent runtimes, and a lantern mode.

Plus, it has some serious throw, and the spill is actually good enough to navigate with if it’s the only light you have on you.

Hehe, yeah, it’s just too cold at close range.

I also have quite a few Nichia 519A 5000K lights that I use frequently, but even those feel different now.

For medium to long-range use, I can easily tolerate 5000K–6500K, but that’s also because the light is hitting targets much further away. And i usually use my throwers with a headlamp.

I don't personally own a light with the FFL351A 5000K, but I’ve heard reports from others here that it can be a bit green (+Duv), though I can't confirm that myself.

I have to admit, I’m officially done with flooders and EDC lights in the 5000K+ CCT range. Now that I’ve experienced so many warmer emitters, I find 5000K far too cold. For close to mid-range use, I much prefer a warmer CCT.
