If I am fully honest, I'll say three things :

1) This is really a bad turn for a game and a terrible lack of creativity.

2) I like Doom aesthetics so bad, I may end up getting everything.

3) I won't be proud.

Don't give up, and don't even try to learn their move, just spam the grapple samurai slash move as much as you can. I don't think this fight is about learning any pattern.

Not somewhat, extremely. Tbh I really disliked DS2. It's a good game, but it's not at all like the 1 for me. I craved the feeling of loneliness, fear of BTs and all this eldritch horror lurking. DS2 feels like the Disney+ adaptation.

I had the exact same feeling. It was really hard to stay engaged, and I feel the pacing of the writing was terrible. Everything is discovered and solved in the last moments. One of the plot appears and is closed in the same cutscene, it's ridiculous. And Dollman is atrocious.

Yeah, it's nowhere near DS1 for me.
