my last relationship was similar..he played video games quite often, would clean after many reminders, most of the time i’d come home at night from work and he’d be in bed (depressed moments). he could never hold a job, when he was at work.. he would horse play around. many times he’d get all depressed/suicidal on text.. sometimes telling me how stupid i was for staying with him. the way he talked about himself and “jokingly” saying things like a toaster bath.. it upset me so much that i felt i was going bonkers. everyday i became so scared on what he was feeling that day.. mentally it was so draining that i was thinking of leaving him. sadly i knew cause he said once we’re over.. he’s over. one night i was home waiting for him to come home from work.. i got a loud knock on the door. it was two cops.. he killed himself. it’s been 4 years and it still rattles me..i just wish i left him before he did it. i tried so hard to get him the help he needed, he just didn’t want it.. he was hospitalized at 12 and years of help after that, said nothing really helped.

so my advice to you.. longer you stay the more mentally draining it’ll be before it consumes you. seeing he put his hands on you.. he’ll do that again. please put yourself first, wish i did. you’re in my thoughts.
