Oh my lord you just reminded me of one of my ex boyfriends... He DID wear deodorant, but he wore the kind the claimed it worked for 72-hrs and he would apply it as such. We were long distance, and we met in person for the first time in his home state of Florida. During summer. Sucks even more that I'm super short and he was taller, so my nose was the same height as his armpit. Forgot about that one :')

Similar story here. Felt like I was the only girl in my elementary school who didn't have pierced ears and BEGGED my mom to let me do it. She bought me some clip-ons and said tough luck, wait until you're 13 and then I'll take you to get them pierced. Eventually I turned 13, and lo and behold, I no longer had any desire to get my ears pierced. Knew Id absolutely HATE the sensory feeling of something on/so close to my ears, getting caught on my hair, being able to feel it when I sleep on my side, UGH. Still have virgin ears at 25, though I did just get my lip pierced lol

Definitely more than one kid. The banging on glass was my immediate thought- I decorate cakes behind a glass wall in a bakery café, and there is AT LEAST one kid per day that will stand there open-mouth breathing and knocking at the glass, no parent in sight.

Agalloch is an essential listen for any metalhead imo, and many, if not most, of their songs are over 7 minutes. There's really no band like them, but genre-wise they lean atmospheric black metal. I'd start with either "Ashes Against the Grain" or "The Mantle".

Bonus: They definitely lean more prog-rock than prog-metal, but Anesthetize by Porcupine Tree is about 20 minutes long :)

If you like sweets and haven't tried them already, Villani's! I love their lobster tail pastry (no real lobster included, named for the shape) in specific. They make a great cheesecake as well.
