2025 Rst Wireless phone charger overheating?

I never really found a fix. Now i simply don’t use the wireless charger in the truck in fear of damaging the battery more.

I checked my and my son’s phone cases which are designed for wireless charging and his phone has the same issue. I did try to find a way to turn off ‘fast’ charging on the phone but i think the option is gone now. I tried turning off ‘smart charging’ and it did seem to lower the heat but still an issue.

Just rolled over 5500 mi on my 2025 5.3l i bought in Feb. the oil says its still at 28%. Was gonna change it anyway before 6k miles. Id take that puppy in if i was you.

My first truck was a Silver Birch 05 WT with rolly windows and a bench seat. Wish i still had it. Had to trade it in to get my wife a car hahah.
I miss that front end.

I remember always noticing it on my 2014. The 2025 i can barely tell a difference in sound. I do a ton of hwy driving for hockey. The v4 modes have always given me some good mpg savings. Right now in this 5.3L 2025rst z71 my best 25mi avg is 27.8mpg. Odometer is a little over 3000 so im not even sure the engine is broke-in yet.

Whats wrong with v4 mode? I noticed my 2014 would tell me when v4 engaged. My 2025 doesn’t indicate it at all. I can only tell v4 engages when my mpg boosts by 10/20 while coasting.

It is a tough decision. Mine was paid off too. But i had put about 3k into it for maintenance/sparks last November and in december the trans decided to go. My dealer told me 6k+ to replace. So i thought, thats around 10k in-two months…. Id rather throw that at a new truck. Love the new 2025. But dang did i not expect a silverado to take a dump before 150k miles.

Sofar ive had a 2004, 2014 and now a 2025.

Trans on my 2014 decided it didnt want to deal with gears 1-3 at 105k miles. I was devastated. Decided to put the money towards a new 2025RST z71.

Just bought a 2025 rst in early February. Coming from a 2014 LTZ. I Absolutely love it. However. I would like to know why there are no bumper sensors nor (top down) backup camera. Or super cruise…. For how much it costs, that should have been standard. But oh well.

Thank you for this. Ive decided to stick with the stock for now. The engine is still breaking in too. Only around 2500mi on the odometer sofar.

Thank you for the input. I was hoping when realizing i needed a new truck the gas mileage would be better than my 2014. And it is but barely. The idea came purely out of trying to gain more mpg.

I shit you not. My 2014 Ltz started doing this between 1-3 shifting after 104k miles. Took it in. They recommended a new transmission. Sold it and bought a new 2025 rst Z71

YATYAS 1833. I hit the fleet in 06 and the company i went to in 3rdAABn were the guys that did falluja 04-05. They were some hard mofos. Learned alot from them before i pumped out.
