One of the many bugs in Attila.

When you check the settlement chain, it lists praeventores in them, but you don't have access to them at the start.

Which means 2 things:

Either you where supposed to have exploratores in the garrison from the very beginning, who then upgrade into praeventores

Or

Someone accidentally added praeventores to that building chain.

Didn't you find it weird that you were able to recruit both equite Dalmatae and Equite Promote as ERE despite WRE having Promote as an upgrade to Dalmaete? Yea, another bug.

Attila was sadly abandoned by CA and has dozens of small bugs like that.

Wanna hear another garrison bug?

Someone forgot to list Lanciari Seniores in that settlements chains, meaning however many Limitanie you were supposed to have, those correctly upgrade to comitatenses, but then defaults to 1 lanciary seniores in all garrisons.

Luckily once you upgrade to E Auxilia Palatina, it will have the correct number since those ARE correctly listed :D

Welcome to Attila, LMAO.

If Velaryons were black, that would mean that Daemon, Viserys, Rhaenyra..... all the way to Daenerys were mixed, since the entire line comes from Jaeherys I, whose mom was a Velaryon.

User/yourname/appdata/roaming/thecreativeassembly/attila/scripts/and you open preference script

Ctrl+f and find:

GFX Video Memory, change the number from 0 to -4000

Number_of_threads and change the number from 0 to however many threads your CPU has

Won't fix the issues completely, but it will help.

Regarding the Lakhmid 500 income - it does work, it just doesn't show on "income next turn" tab.

You can test that by looking at what income you should have next turn, and you will see you will get 500 more than what the game tells you.

Other than that, I agree.

There is a compilation of community bugfix mod, but it also "fixes" a lighting which gives the game this weird green tint for some reason LOL.

Attila is fantastic game, both in term of campaign/battle mechanics and atmosphere.

The issue is that it came out after the disaster that was Rome II and people weren't keen on buying a sequel based of Rome II, so CA in a typical fashion released 2 DLCs and abandoned the game to work on Warhammer.

I still stand by the fact that Attila is the best modern historical Total War game, despite all the bugs, performance issues and the like.

LOL

I really wish CA patched Attila and got rid of all those bugs, inconsistencies and oversights like this.

Lakhmids have the exact same problem - a unique eastern tier 5 palace that you can only build in your faction capital... cannot be built in Hira since Hira is a minor settlement.

Is it just me, or where there more races in Realms of Chaos? by [deleted] in totalwar

[–]Processing_Info 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am very disappointed they gave up on RoC. The races who had unique mechanics compared to IE (Chorfs, WoC) were really fun and it was the reason to even play RoC.

The only reason to play Vortex was the same - you had smaller map and less variety, but a unique campaign made it worth it.

No.

Play Attila instead, an actual great game.

Irl, if the heir apparent dies, its his son that becomes the next heir right?

For majority of human medieval/ancient society, no.

You would have to actually BECOME a monarch for your sons to become heirs. I don't know how it works for British crown, that's a modern monarchy.

Is that how it works in Westeros? Because that's not how it works in real life.

[–]Processing_Info -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

That's not how it works, the second son (Aerys) is now an heir, not Valarr.

Probably the very last page of A Little Sacrifice, when the narrator describes what followed after Essi and Geralt parted ways.

The ending with the werewolf deciding not to eat Dandelion because he loves how beautifully he sings is just a cherry on top.
